The Young and the Restless Spoilers Update: Thursday, March 4 – Kyle Accuses Gold-Digger Sally – Jack’s Style Makeover

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Thursday, March 4, teases that Summer Newman (Hunter King) remains in shock following the news that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is a father. Kyle’s sorry he didn’t come to Summer right away, but he wanted confirmation first.

Summer guesses that’s why Kyle was going to New York – to go talk to Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) and see if it was true. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) appears and realizes she’s interrupted something, but Summer and Kyle file out in a hurry.

At the Chancellor mansion, Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) is there to handle the agreements for Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway).

Abby acknowledges that it might seem strange moving forward with the surrogacy without Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) around, but she points out that Chance pushed them to move forward in his letters.

Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) is thrilled about the next steps – and Abby insists they’re going to video chat with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) tonight, too. Abby thought Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) was tied up, but she arrives on the doorstep with takeout and is ready to offer support.

At Crimson Lights, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) spots Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and asks if she’s OK. Elena says work is fine, but everything else…not so much. Devon realizes she means Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and wonders if there’s a chance they can work things out.

Elena notes that Nate’s waiting on her to say Devon’s out of her system, so Devon wonders what the holdup is. “Well, that’s the thing. I’m not sure you are completely out of my system,” Elena admits on Thursday’s Young and the Restless episode.

At The Grand Phoenix, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) finds Nate and wonders if he wants to be alone with his thoughts or let her lend an ear. Nate would rather have a distraction instead, so Amanda accepts the challenge. She talks to Nate about watching foreign films with Devon and growing closer to him lately.

Amanda says they’re taking it slow and adds that she didn’t go looking for this to happen, but she’s glad it did. Between Devon and meeting her birth mother, 2021 has already been full of surprises.

Amanda can’t believe how well it’s going, so she’s kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop. Nate has to run, but he’s grateful to Amanda for helping him figure out that he has to move forward.

Back at Jabot, Sally tells Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to open the present she got him. Jack pulls a dress jacket out of a garment bag. It’s not Jack’s usual style, but Sally saw it and thought it’d be perfect. Jack stalls on trying it on, so Sally fears he hates it. That’s enough to make Jack try it on immediately.

Once Jack’s sporting the jacket, Sally suggests he ditch the tie as well and tells him to trust her. “Yep, drop-dead gorgeous,” Sally says as she takes in Jack’s style makeover.

Jack admits it’s pretty sharp and wants to have dinner at his place with Sally later. Sally can’t say no to that and is looking forward to it.

Later, Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) tells Jack about Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) concerns about Sally and her Abbott research. Lauren feels Phyllis was overreacting, but she does wonder just how serious things are between Sally and Jack.

Although things aren’t serious yet, Jack isn’t ruling anything out. Lauren’s pleased that Sally makes Jack smile and compliments his wardrobe upgrade.

In Kyle’s suite at The Grand Phoenix, Summer thinks back to the picture on Kyle’s tablet. She realizes that was Kyle’s son, not his friend’s kid as he previously claimed.

Summer’s upset that Kyle didn’t tell her as soon as he found out, but Kyle argues that he had to deal with the father shock AND worry about the potential Ashland Locke (Paul Burgi) fallout.

According to Tara, Ashland adores Harrison Locke. “Harrison? That’s your son’s name?” Summer asks. Kyle can hardly even believe he’s saying the words “my son” – and he knows Ashland would hate hearing him say that.

If Ashland finds out the truth, there’s no predicting how far he’ll go. Summer argues that her grandfather, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), has the same reputation for being ruthless, but he’s not as scary as he seems.

Kyle feels this is a completely different situation. He contends that Ashland could come after everyone he loves – and even worse, what if Ashland rejects Harrison? Kyle says it could scar this little boy for life if Ashland cuts him out.

Summer wonders who all knows about Harrison’s paternity. “Is it just Theo, Sally and now me?” Summer asks. Kyle says Theo and Sally don’t know anything for a fact – and since he hasn’t heard anything from Theo, he assumes Theo is leaving this in Sally’s hands. “Wonderful, wonderful,” Summer says sarcastically.

Kyle admits he told Sally it wasn’t true, though he doesn’t think she bought it. Even so, Kyle’s hopeful that Sally will leave it alone if they all play nice.

Kyle finally admits there’s someone else who knows: Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). “Mariah?! Mariah knows?!” Summer says in disbelief. She assumes Kyle trusts Mariah, but not her. Kyle contends that he was just terrified of losing Summer again.

Summer has so many questions and wonders how Kyle knows for sure this child is his. Kyle admits Tara showed up in Genoa City and confirmed it before going back to New York. Kyle says Tara told him that she never wants to discuss it again, but Summer wonders what Kyle wants.

Kyle feels like he has to pretend none of this ever happened, but Summer says he can do something about his son if he chooses to. “It’ll be hard as hell knowing I have a son out there that I’ll never get to meet,” Kyle admits. That said, Kyle feels he has to do it.

Summer feels like Kyle at least needs to take this one step at a time. Kyle acknowledges that he just dropped a massive bomb on Summer, but she’s still looking out for him. “Where does this leave us?” Kyle wonders.

Summer says it’s a lot to take in and needs time to think, so Kyle says to take all the time she needs.

Back at the Chancellor mansion, Abby’s fine with all the contract details and implies this is easy since she’s doing it with two close friends.

Christine notes that although everything seems to be working out well with Devon and Mariah, things could get complicated with all the medical, financial and emotional factors.

Abby admits there is one thing she wanted to address. She’s been wanting to ask Mariah and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) to move in so that she can be part of every step of the pregnancy. Ashley thinks that’s a lovely idea, but Nina doesn’t think it’s going to work.

Christine leaves to let the others talk, so Nina explains her perspective. She worries about having Mariah so close since there’s a possibility Mariah could lose the baby. Nina frets over how that would affect Abby – and Ashley seems to agree it’d be too tough to have Mariah nearby in that case.

Suddenly, Jill calls on video chat and wants to hear all the baby news. She’s thrilled about Devon being the donor, but she feels it’s a terrible idea for Mariah and Tessa to move in.

Jill’s worried the walls closing in and everyone getting annoyed, but she recognizes that something could go wrong, too. Abby feels like if something does go wrong, she wants to be there for Mariah, so the others relent.

At the coffeehouse again on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Elena says she knows it’s crazy, but she hasn’t been able to get that night out of her head. Although Elena cares about Nate, she’d be lying if she told him she was completely over Devon.

Devon admits he has something to confess, too. He hasn’t been able to stop thinking about that night either – though he doesn’t know what that means. “And you’re with Amanda now,” Elena says. Devon points out that things are complicated right as Amanda walks in and greets them.

After Elena takes off, Amanda talks to Devon about the donor contract. She praises Devon for how he handled everything with Abby. “You’re a good man and a good friend. No wonder Elena still confides in you,” Amanda says.

In the Grand Phoenix lobby, Phyllis spots Summer and wonders how things went with Kyle – though she insists Summer doesn’t have to share exactly what happened. Summer admits things went a lot deeper with Kyle’s ex than she thought and worries about the vindictive husband.

Summer’s hurt about Kyle not coming clean about the whole story right away. Kyle didn’t have faith in their relationship and felt like he’d scare Summer off. Phyllis can see where Kyle’s coming from. “Are you really siding with Kyle right now?” Summer asks.

Phyllis insists she’s all about Summer, but she feels Kyle’s been so devoted to her since they got back together. Summer admits she knows Kyle loves her like she loves him.

As upset as she is, Summer can’t let this come between them. Phyllis agrees Summer has to hold onto her man and warns she can’t let Sally get to her.

Sally finds Kyle at Society’s bar and notes that things seemed tense when she saw him with Summer earlier. Sally asks if the truth came out, so Kyle says don’t worry about them and that they’re not joined at the hip.

Talk turns to Sally picking up cookies for dessert since she’s having dinner at Jack’s place. Kyle really wishes she wouldn’t. “I’m asking you to stay away from my father. He has been hurt by women like you before and I don’t want to see that happen again,” Kyle snaps.

Sally wants to know what Kyle means by women like her, so Kyle notes that Jack is a wealthy man with social status. Meanwhile, Sally’s new to town and still trying to establish herself.

Kyle insists Jack is a catch and pushes Sally to look at this objectively. “Well, objectively, you are calling me a gold digger when I could care less about Jack’s money, his last name or any of that,” Sally says.

Sally feels Kyle has it all wrong and talk about the fun she’s having with Jack. There’s no big agenda here. Kyle thinks he really struck a nerve, but Sally says she thought they had an understanding about not making trouble for each other. “Hold up, is that a threat?” Kyle asks.

Sally maintains that she wants a peaceful coexistence and doesn’t want to see Jack hurt either. She truly enjoys the pleasure of Jack’s company – and the feeling is mutual. Once Sally exits, Elena comes in and finds Nate.

They think it’s time to put their cards on the table. Elena praises Nate’s great qualities and never wanted to hurt him, but the love she has for Devon never went away.

Jack finds Phyllis to scold her about looking into Sally’s personal business. He urges Phyllis to back off. Phyllis just wants Jack to take care of himself and warns that Sally’s way more problematic than Jack thinks.

When Kyle returns to his suite, Summer is waiting. She realized she belongs right by Kyle’s side. Kyle can’t do this without her – and she promises they’re in this together, no matter what.

Once Sally arrives at the Abbott mansion, Jack pours them drinks and toasts to his new fashion guru. “Don’t tempt me,” Sally says as they exchange smiles.
