The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, January 27, tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will have some advice for her daughter. Y&R fans know Summer Newman (Hunter King) recently scored plenty of dirty details on Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
Summer will feel like she’s armed and ready for battle, but Phyllis may think she needs to be careful.
Phyllis might understand that Summer’s natural instinct would be to strike fast and hard. That’s especially true if Summer updates Phyllis on everything Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) told her in LA! Nevertheless, Phyllis may point out that sometimes it’s better to play the long game.
Phyllis is holding the embezzlement scandal cover-up over Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) head, which gives her some power. If Victoria steps too far out of line, she knows Phyllis will drop the bomb on Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and ruin everything.
Likewise, Phyllis might think Summer should use Sally’s twisted secrets as leverage. It’d give Summer power over Sally, so Summer might get on board with the idea.
Whatever the case, look for Phyllis to tear a page out of her own playbook and school Summer on Wednesday.
Later, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sally will need a favor from Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Once Sally goes looking for Jack, she’ll eavesdrop and realize trouble’s brewing.
Sally already feared Summer would come home and blow things up for her, but she’ll be more fearful than ever after Summer alludes to her “eye-opening” trip.
However, it looks like Summer may choose to listen to Phyllis and hold back for now. Summer will probably enjoy taunting Sally and seeing if that changes her behavior. As for Sally, she’ll have to deal with Summer’s threat and hope she can keep her Genoa City future intact.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will head to the Chancellor mansion and see that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) is in good spirits.
It’ll warm Mariah’s heart to find out Abby’s doing so much better following difficult news.
Abby will insist she’s accepted that she can’t have a baby of her own and has decided on surrogacy with Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz). Mariah will think that sounds like a great plan, but she won’t understand that Abby wants Mariah herself to be the surrogate.
Naturally, Mariah will need a chance to wrap her head around the shocker and get Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) opinion. This is a major decision that deserves some real thought! Y&R spoilers say some surprises are in store, so stay tuned.
