In tonight’s 9-1-1 Lone Star episode, Grace takes a call from a woman scared of her boyfriend. Her boyfriend is violent and angry. Her infant cries in the the background. Suddenly, Grace loses her after her boyfriend opens the closet where she is hiding. He is pouring gas, she screams just as the call ends.
The police and fire arrive. They block off the area as they look for the suspect. Carlos spots the suspect outside. He has a knife and he is alone. He stabs himself in the neck. The team comes out. There is no woman and no baby. He seems it was a prank.
The next day, Grace arrives home. She tells Jud she has taken a leave of absence. The whole call was a prank made most likely by a rival gang. She did the leave on her own. She feels she missed some signs. Jud doesn’t see how she can do that. It wasn’t her fault. She was used as a weapon.
Grace pays Carlos a visit. She tells him they got played. He feels at fault but she works to convince him that someone took their power away. They need to track down who did this to them.
Owen and Katherine are out having a drink and dancing when she is approached by a man in the bar who recognizes her. He insults her, prompting Owen to punch him. After, Katherine is upset that Owen defended her. She can defend herself.
Grace and Carlos meet up to go over their recent call that landed them on leave. Jud gives them a lead. Meanwhile, Owen gets annoyed when Paul touches all of his spices in the kitchen. Paul is bored. He notices Owen’s hand. Owen tells Paul and Tommy about his argument with Katherine and the fight at the bar. They tell him to send flowers.
Catherine is working at her office when she gets flowers. She opens the card with a small and is sprayed with a white powder. She screams before calling 911.
Owen and the team arrive to see Katherine. Owen talks to her with a hazmat suit on. They collect samples while Tommy assesses her. The FBI arrives. The building has been evacuated. They have a suspect. Katherine showers to decontaminate. After, she talks to Owen. She is scared. She demands to hear about her possible outcomes. Tommy tells her.
Outside, the man who delivered the flowers to Katherine is taken into custody. As they grill him, he starts to hemorrhage and passes out. They call Tommy and clear the area. They suit up.
The labs come back. The powder was only cornstarch. The kid outside is aroused with ammonia snaps. He comes to. He must have fainted from his own blood.
Carlos and Grace find themselves watching an online gaming platform following a lead. They search forums and handles. They track down their suspect. He used a fake IP to reroute his call. Police arrive to arrest him. Sergeant Gray leads the charge and lets Carlos and Grace say hello to the gamer who made them take a leave.
Katherine and Owen take a night at home to dance and talk. He promises not to go into full hero mode again. She admits she was glad to see him help her today. She also promised if she made it out alive, she would jump his bones. Owen cannot stop talking though – he wonders if the guy from the bar is responsible for the prank. She asks him to drop it for the night. He agrees. They head to his bedroom where someone has scrolled Toxic Pig in blood on his wall and left a pig in the bed that is dead.
