Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, August 12, reveals that Clyde Weston (James Read) became a key witness against Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) while Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) bailed on his Nicole Walker Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) date night for work. Here’s how all the DOOL action played out.
At the Kiriakis mansion on Friday’s Days episode, Alexander “Alex” Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) sought confirmation that Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) wasn’t mad at him.
Sonny was mostly just irritated with Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) for hiring Alex behind his back and disrespecting his position.
Although Sonny worried Alex would have trouble taking orders, Alex acted like everything would be fine and was excited to work together.
Since Alex had dinner plans, he declined a meal with Sonny and had to rush off.
At the townhouse, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) was pleased to learn Belle Brady (Martha Madison) had decided to move home.
Belle also got updates on Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) asking Eric out, so she was happy to hear he was moving on from Nicole.
Over at the Salem PD, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) let Jada know that Belle was moving back in.
After Shawn heard about Jada’s date with Eric, he thought that was good news too and suggested Nicole was content in her marriage to Rafe.
In the town square on Friday’s Days episode, Rafe was ready to treat Nicole to a nice dinner.
Nicole piqued Rafe’s interest since she knew so much about Eric dating Jada. Rafe thought it’d be great if it worked out, but Nicole certainly didn’t seem as thrilled or hopeful.
At the bistro, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) wanted to call the police following Clyde’s run-in with the stolen jewelry thief.
Clyde shut down the idea and admitted he hadn’t been completely honest with Nancy Miller (Patrika Darbo).
After Clyde confessed to knowing the jewelry was hot and fencing it, he worried he’d go to prison for the parole violation.
Clyde also didn’t have much more of a description to offer other than the guy’s floral jacket, but that was enough to alert Brady and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) to Leo’s involvement.
Chloe and Brady showed off the look book that Leo just gave them, which featured pictures of him.
Clyde confirmed that was the guy who dragged him into drama, so Nancy marveled over it being the same man who blew up her marriage to Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas).
Back in the town square, Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) assured Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) that Leo was the tooth fairy – and that he’d seen him in the basement the same day Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) died.
Chad confronted Leo and insisted on hauling him down to the police station, but Leo acted like the whole thing was preposterous.
Shawn got involved once Leo was in the Salem PD interrogation room and had to stop Chad from physically attacking Leo over his lies.
Thomas was worried about getting the tooth fairy in trouble, but Chad reassured him about telling the truth and said Mommy would be proud.
Shawn and Jada pried as many details as they could out of Thomas regarding his run-in with Leo in the DiMera tunnels.
After Chad called Rafe to come handle this, the commissioner bailed on his evening with Nicole.
That gave Nicole a chance to witness Eric and Jada heading into the pub to have dinner together.
Belle also went home to Shawn, so they planned to have a quiet dinner of their own.
Back with Rafe, he got brought up to speed and told Chad there wasn’t enough evidence to hold Leo.
Chad was furious, but there was nothing Rafe could do without a corroborating witness’ testimony.
Suddenly, Nancy brought Clyde in so that he could serve as that witness, so Leo was officially in hot water!
