Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Friday, January 14 Update – Kate Warns Lying Lucas – Chad Is Devil’s Victim – Gabi & Jake’s Deal

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Friday, January 14, teases that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will become the devil’s next victim while Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) and Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) strike a deal. Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) will also warn lying Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) about the risks when her son comes back to town with a goal in mind.

In the courtroom, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) will assume Chad’s going to rip him to shreds on the witness stand. However, Chad actually plans to tell the truth and show some loyalty for his brother.

Chad doesn’t want to stoop to EJ’s level and hates the idea of EJ being locked up for eight to 10 years for something he didn’t do.

That’s why Chad intends to come clean about the proof being planted, but Days spoilers say he won’t get the chance thanks to the devil’s tight grip.

DOOL fans will recall how possessed Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) once put John Black (Drake Hogestyn) in a chokehold.

Marlena tried to stop John from blabbing – and that’s the same strategy the devil will use now that he’s in Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) body.

Chad won’t know what’s happening as possessed Johnny locks his fingers and closes up Chad’s throat from across the room.

Chad will struggle to breathe and certainly won’t be able to speak. He’ll cough and sputter as Belle Brady (Martha Madison) gets him a glass of water, but that’s not going to help if choking too much to drink it!

Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) will check on Chad and wonder what’s going on.

Abigail might suspect Chad’s having some sort of allergic reaction and push the judge to give Chad a break. It looks like the judge will indeed call for a recess or send everyone home for the day.

Johnny will be pretty pleased with himself since he’ll stop Chad’s honesty and keep EJ’s conviction chances high.

In the meantime, Lucas will return from Europe, where he’s been enjoying a new chapter with Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney).

Lucas will be serving as a witness for the prosecution, so he’ll come back to Salem and prepare for his turn to testify.

Of course, Kate will inevitably blast Lucas for doing something as reckless as kidnapping Sami and then roping Chad into his deception afterward.

Kate will truly hope this doesn’t blow up in Lucas’ face, so she may have some advice on how to avoid any more blunders.

Lucas will also have an encounter with Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), so he’ll have to stick to his bogus story and act like EJ’s a dirty rotten scoundrel for abducting Sami.

Other Days spoilers say Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo) will pop up out of nowhere and catch her daughter off guard.

Chloe will express surprise over her mother’s visit and wonder what this is about, so Nancy will admit she thinks Craig Wesley (Kevin Spiritas) is cheating on her.

Chloe won’t want to believe her father would do that to Nancy, but she’ll grow concerned when her mom shares the details of her suspicions in the coming episodes.

However, this affair story won’t be quite as straightforward as it seems on the surface.

Friday’s shocking show will also bring an agreement for Jake, Gabi and Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers).

Since Gabi and Jake are plotting a Titan takeover, perhaps they’ll rely on Maggie for assistance getting through to Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston).

Jake and Gabi might offer to help with the hunt for Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) in return.

Regardless, Maggie will indeed be willing to make a deal, so Gabi and Jake will be happy about what they’re able to accomplish.

It’ll mark another step on their journey to corporate domination, so we’ll pass along updates as other Days news comes in.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say the week will wrap up with some exciting moments, so don’t miss all the action.
