Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, October 21, reveals that Nicole Walker-Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) fired Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) while Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) move-in shocked Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin). Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) also got a new lab offer, so here’s how all the Days drama went down.
At the Salem PD on Friday’s DOOL episode, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) told Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) about exploding at Nicole and staying at the station last night.
Gabi urged Rafe to fix things with Nicole before talk turned to Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) disdain for her.
Now that the divorce papers had been signed, Gabi had accepted Stefan’s hatred and was moving on.
That said, Gabi wished she could confront Dr. Rolf over what he did to Stefan.
Since Gabi didn’t know where Dr. Rolf’s lab was, Rafe was able to point her in the right direction.
Gabi decided she’d go right now and turned down Rafe’s offer of an escort. Even so, Gabi was a little overwhelmed at the prospect of getting the truth.
In Dr. Rolf’s messy lab, Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) arrived and offered him a brand-new one that was state of the art.
The catch was Dr. Rolf had to move to Jakarta, so the doc reluctantly got on board and had to pack up before his flight.
At Eric’s place, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) invited him to lunch, but he explained that he had a photoshoot today.
Unfortunately, Eric’s plans were derailed thanks to a Basic Black Corporation email that fired him.
That email claimed budget restraints and downsizing were to blame, but Eric wondered if EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) parent company CEO takeover was the real issue.
Eric then realized the email was from Nicole and worried maybe his work just wasn’t that good anymore.
Jada admitted the fight she witnessed outside the pub, so Eric determined that Nicole did this to save her marriage.
As Basic Black, Chloe confessed to Nicole that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) dumped her.
Nicole also opened up about her argument with Rafe and how it led to her firing Eric.
Chloe worried about Nicole’s true motives for pushing Eric out and asked if she wanted her marriage to work.
Rafe showed up and said he’d like to know the answer to that himself.
After Chloe left, Rafe and Nicole exchanged apologies for how they handled the situation.
When Nicole said she fired Eric, Rafe wished she hadn’t done that and just wanted them to be OK.
In the end, Nicole and Rafe patched things up, so he promised to come home tonight and gave her a kiss.
Later, Jada found Rafe in his office and admitted she witnessed part of his shouting match with Nicole.
Rafe got updates on Jada bringing Eric in the loop, so he hinted that Nicole was going to rehire Eric and said he had to trust his wife.
Back at Eric’s place, he opened the door to Nicole, who wanted to explain about the email.
Eric knew that Nicole’s real reason for firing him was about her marriage.
At Kristen’s place, she got a visit from Stefan, who seemed convinced that she’d done something to mess with his brain.
Kristen argued that Gabi was an ally, so she’d love it if they were together and would be happy for Stefan.
Stefan decided that maybe Kristen’s motive was about Chloe since she was in the way of her reunion with Brady.
However, Kristen argued that Stefan was behind on the news since Brady broke up with Chloe and left her a free woman.
Kristen then acted like Stefan had four years to process things in his coma and woke up with a new sense of purpose.
After Kristen sent Stefan after Chloe, she reflected on not really needing him anymore – though it was better to be safe than sorry.
At the townhouse, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) quizzed Brady about his breakup.
Brady defended his decision by arguing it was best for Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater), but John still hated to see Chloe go.
As John was leaving on Friday’s Days episode, Chloe showed up to get a few things she left behind in Brady’s bedroom.
While Chloe was back there, Kristen showed up and caused Brady to flip out.
Brady insisted he needed more time, but Kristen wheeled in her suitcase as Chloe appeared with a box.
Chloe wondered what was going on, so Kristen guessed Brady didn’t have the chance to reveal that she was moving in!
Brady looked furious as Chloe stood there stunned and devastated.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Brady will try to soften the blow with an explanation, but Chloe will remain in agony.
