Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) may become new cellmates, so this messy alliance could bring more trouble. Let’s discuss what we know so far and try to nail down where things are headed next on DOOL.
During the week of July 18-22, a new cellmate will indeed surprise Gwen.
It makes sense that it’ll be Kristen since she recently decided to stop running and resume her prison stint.
Of course, it makes even more sense when you consider the history between Gwen and Kristen, which is obviously complicated.
Gwen was blackmailed into assisting with Kristen’s previous prison break, so she was forced to team up with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) to make that happen.
However, Kristen tried to help Gwen at one point and sent the Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) mask so Gwen could fool Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) along with Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers).
That plan clearly backfired big time in the end, so Gwen shouldn’t be glad to see Kristen upon her arrival.
The feeling may be mutual and lead to some fierce clashing, especially since Kristen and Gwen should be in such close quarters.
Even so, there’s the potential for an alliance to form again – even if it perhaps involves vicious threats.
There have been some hints that Kristen might be behind Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) murder, though it was potentially inadvertent.
Regardless, Gwen might score the upper hand if she knows or finds out what Kristen did.
On the other hand, Kristen tends to run the show and may force Gwen to help her once more.
Since Days insiders suggest another prison escape is brewing for Kristen, this cellmate situation could lead to Gwen becoming a repeat accomplice.
Gwen might benefit from this alliance as well if she gets fed up with Statesville and decides she’d like to bust out of the joint permanently.
No matter how this plays out, Days is seemingly about to put two troublemakers in the same cell – and that can’t be good news for anyone!
