Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, December 5, reveals that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) pushed Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf) bedroom surrender while Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) opened up an intriguing fortune cookie.
At the bistro on Monday’s DOOL episode, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) wondered if Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) had been drinking and grew concerned about her going back to EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) place to spend the night.
However, Nicole pointed out she needed a place to stay since she blew up her marriage and now Eric didn’t want her either.
After EJ provoked Eric over losing both the baby and Nicole, he invited Eric to go ahead and take a swing.
Eric punched EJ in the face just before Belle Brady (Martha Madison) and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) arrived.
That led to some worries about Eric since he had a drink earlier and then drove to the bar – presumably eager to drink more.
Eric argued with Shawn and lunged at him, so Shawn wound up on the floor.
EJ wanted to press charges, so Shawn had no choice but to put the cuffs on Eric and take him back to the station.
At the Salem PD on Monday’s Days episode, Eric pushed for Belle’s legal help and lashed out when it seemed like she was taking EJ’s side.
After Eric snapped about how Belle had slept with EJ, she washed her hands of the situation and let Shawn drag her brother to a cell.
At the DiMera mansion, EJ showed Nicole to her room and admitted it had been Susan Banks’ (Stacy Haiduk) room first.
Since it was the nicest guest room in the house, EJ wanted Nicole to have it.
EJ took a framed photo of himself with Susan and seemed distraught in the hallway.
Meanwhile, Nicole looked somber over her own derailed life as she sat on the bed.
In Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) office, Alex interrupted Stephanie and Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) hug to bring in Chinese takeout.
Since Alex assumed Stephanie canceled their date because of work, he seemed miffed over the embrace and figured he’d misunderstood.
Stephanie explained that there was indeed a work crisis now that Paulina had been arrested.
Alex offered to be a fresh set of eyes and gave some helpful tips as he ate along with Stephanie and Chad.
Chad has some useful input as well, so Stephanie was grateful to both guys.
After Stephanie’s fortune cookie said she was looking at the man of her dreams, she smiled at Alex before turning to an uncomfortable Chad.
Once Alex apologized to Stephanie for overreacting earlier, they confirmed they’d have a raincheck on their date.
Chad left at one point and returned for his coat, which allowed him to witness Stephanie and Alex’s kiss.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) answered Sonny Kiriakis’ (Zach Tinker) phone call while he was out of the room.
Will Horton (Chandler Massey) wasn’t happy about that, but Sonny tried to downplay things once he took the phone back.
Sonny said he was helping Leo with his job search and did his best to calm Will down.
Although Sonny figured they could just talk about this when Will came home for Christmas, he was irritated to learn Will wouldn’t be coming home after all.
Will was working on another movie for Peacock and couldn’t make it back, so Sonny offered a terse goodbye and disconnected without saying “I love you.”
That surprised Leo, who also questioned Will’s story since he was supposedly working on the holiday.
Leo assured Sonny he wasn’t trying to cause extra trouble, but Sonny suggested that seemed to happen anyway when it came to Leo.
Nevertheless, Sonny invited Leo to stick around for a meal and more job hunting.
At the townhouse on Monday’s Days episode, Brady caught Kristen talking to the Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) doll and thought it was odd.
There was also talk about Rachel Black’s (Finley Rose Slater) Christmas list since she wanted her mommy and daddy to get married.
Brady acted like Kristen was planting ideas in Rachel’s head, but Kristen pointed out she could make marriage a condition of their deal if she wanted.
Marlena, Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) would all need boosters soon, so Kristen suggested she could demand a wedding.
Brady assumed Kristen was working up to that, but she denied it.
Instead, Kristen wanted Brady to surrender to what he was feeling and take some baby steps – like spending the night with her.
Brady didn’t think that was a baby step and warned that nothing would happen between them unless she gave him the orchid.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Kristen will keep trying to pull Brady closer, but some unexpected snags are headed her way.
