Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Wednesday, August 24 Recap – Ava Collapses After Jake & Stefan Mix-Up – Orpheus’ Ominous Note

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 24, reveals that Ava DiMera (Tamara Braun) collapsed after a Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) mix-up. Orpheus (George DelHoyo) also left an ominous note, so here’s how all the DOOL drama played out.

First on Wednesday’s Days episode, Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) got more updates from Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) and chewed him out for letting Stefan leave.

Dr. Rolf suspected Stefan was headed for the DiMera mansion since he wanted to reunite with Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus).

Meanwhile, Gabi and Ava bickered in the mansion living room while the doorbell kept ringing.

Ava finally decided to answer it herself and was stunned to see “Jake” standing there. After Ava touched Stefan’s face and marveled over “Jake” being alive, she fainted.

That gave Li a chance to show up, sedate Stefan and drag him out of sight. Dr. Rolf then took Stefan back to the lab while Li pretended he had shown up to check on Gabi.

Ava later awoke on the sofa and was adamant that she’d seen Jake alive, but Li insisted it was just him instead.

At the pub, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) reflected on the DiMera family with Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and urged him to consider running for governor.

There was also talk about Ava being a problematic houseguest, so Abe brought up her history of instability and wasn’t so sure it was a thing of the past.

Once EJ returned to the DiMera mansion, he was brought up to speed on Ava’s “Jake” encounter. Ava admitted to “seeing” Jake a couple times before, but she knew it wasn’t real.

Although Ava said this time was different, EJ thought Ava was dealing with some post traumatic stress.

After EJ comforted Ava and suggested they use this as a chance to start over, she shook hands with him suspiciously.

Once EJ was alone, he spoke to Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) portrait about the enlightening evening and said Ava really was a tad unstable.

Back at Li’s hotel suite, Gabi felt for Ava since she’d been through a similar ordeal when she thought she saw Stefan after he died.

However, Gabi knew it was just a fantasy and that Stefan was gone for good.

At the townhouse, Orpheus forced his way in using a gun and revealed he knew Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) wanted to kill him thanks to a planted listening device.

Orpheus insisted that hurt his feelings, so now he intended to do something he’d never done before – something that would have a lasting impact.

Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) tried to talk Orpheus out of his plans on Wednesday’s Days episode, but he held firm.

At one point, Marlena went for the gun while Kayla smashed a vase on Orpheus’ head to gain the upper hand.

Alas, the advantage was short-lived since a couple of thugs were outside the door as Orpheus’ backup.

While Orpheus took Kayla and Marlena hostage, Paulina Price-Carver (Jackee Harry) explained how she wanted to hire Stephanie Johnson’s (Abigail Klein) PR firm to represent Abe in his run for governor.

Since that run wasn’t official yet, Paulina had wanted to keep things anonymous.

Stephanie was embarrassed over Steve and John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) ambush, but Paulina didn’t blame any of them and would’ve done the same thing to protect her own daughter.

Paulina had a productive meeting with Stephanie before they met up with Abe, who decided he would officially run for governor.

Back with John and Steve, they came back to the messy townhouse and found their wives missing.

An ominous note discouraged Steve and John from calling the cops since that could be a fatal error.

John snarled out Orpheus’ name once he realized the baddie had kidnapped Marlena and Kayla.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Orpheus will carry out a twisted plot, so stay tuned to DOOL.
