Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Xander Cook’s (Paul Telfer) paid revenge may sink his marriage and cause him to break his promise to Sarah Cook (Linsey Godfrey). Sarah and Xander’s relationship may once again be headed for trouble, so let’s discuss what’s coming up on Days.
DOOL fans know Xander nearly lost Sarah when he came clean about sleeping with Nicole Walker-Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) and blowing up her anniversary party.
The fact that Xander accepted Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) $1 million to publicly expose the betrayal was a real problem.
Sarah couldn’t believe she married a man who would do something like that, but Xander acted like it was just business and initially kept trying to make excuses.
However, Sarah came around in the end with Maggie Kiriakis’ (Suzanne Rogers) help and decided she wouldn’t hold Xander’s past mistakes against him.
Of course, any mistakes Xander makes from now on will be a different story!
Sarah’s decision to reunite with Xander was conditional on him being on his best behavior.
Although Sarah doesn’t expect Xander to be perfect, she at least expects him not to fall into his typical old patterns.
Xander promised not to pull any more stunts, so Sarah won’t want to see him backslide.
Unfortunately, it looks like that’s exactly what Xander will do in the months ahead.
DOOL put out a lengthy promo for their new season on Peacock, which features Xander’s secret meeting with a woman in disguise.
It appears that woman could be Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), but her true identity doesn’t matter as much as what Xander’s up to here.
Xander asks the woman what kind of revenge they’re talking about and seems quite intrigued in the preview video.
It’s possible Xander will have already lost Sarah by then, but it’s equally possible that he’ll surrender to temptation and lose her as a result.
Days may put Xander to the test by dangling the opportunity for paid revenge right in front of him – and he may snatch it up.
This could turn into another situation where Xander accepts money to publicly humiliate or cause someone pain.
If this revenge takes a deadly turn, that’ll make things even worse!
Sarah was hoping that Xander’s misdeeds were all in the past, but he may show her that he’s never going to change completely.
It seems like Sarah will have to decide whether she can live with that or if she’ll have to move on.
Either way, Xander will inevitably lose Sarah while she wrestles with all this.
Even if Sarah and Xander reunite eventually, there’ll be some rough moments in the meantime.
