A con artist got caught at her game. A woman who went by the name of Cassandra Mason was trying to con one of the other women she works out with and unfortunately, the other woman fell for it. She gave Mason money. But the woman’s husband saw through the con. The husband looked into the con artist. He found out she lied about everything. He went to her apartment and demanded the money back and he got shot for it. He died from his wounds. His wife was also killed. Steve and Molly Forde were their names. They leave behind a daughter named Emma. The Fordes’ murders were front-page news because they were murdered in the Hamptons and by their personal trainer.

Mason was Molly’s trainer. Molly gave her the money because Mason claimed she wanted to open her own gym. She said that her original plan of opening the studio herself fell through because the place required a lot of renovating to get it up to code and that was just another thing she lied about. There was nothing wrong with the building. It was already up to codes. Steve also found out that Mason never attended Brown. Nor was Cassandra Mason her real name. She lied about everything. Steve found that out, but he didn’t care about the other stuff. He just wanted his money back and so that’s when Mason killed him.

Mason was a grifter. She lived way above her means. Her apartment was expensive. She had a closet full of couture clothes. She probably paid for it all by scamming others and so it was just unfortunate that she chose to scam Molly. If she hadn’t, her con would still be going. Mason went on the run after killing the couple and the people she trains all came out of the woodwork to help the FBI. They told them all the things that Mason told them. How she had family in Ohio. How she attended the Treetops school. And the only thing that Mason was telling the truth about was the school.

Mason lied about everything else. Mason also hit up one of the mothers of the women she used to train. The poor elderly woman didn’t watch the news. She took Mason shopping and Mason managed to grab her purse and her car keys before ditching the woman there. Mason used one of the credit cards to buy a ticket at Penn Station. She could head anywhere from there. The FBI were looking into it. In the meantime, they went to the Tree Tops school. They asked the people now running the place if they recognized her and no one did. The FBI Agents also noticed a commemorative bench dedicated to the late Jenny Betz.

Jenny was a teenage girl who was around the same age as then Mason. She died by drowning in the school lake and her death was important because Supervisory Special Agent Remy Scott and his team found out that a young woman going by the name of Jenny Betz had been suspected of murdering her landlady for years after the real Jenny died. The fake Jenny claimed to have attended Brown. She was really partying with forty-something alcoholic landlady and she was even sneaking money out of the landlady’s accounts. The woman’s son caught onto it. He warned his mother. He told her to confront Jenny. And she said she would.

It was the last anyone had heard of her. She disappeared after that. The fake Jenny had denied knowing what happened to her and the police didn’t look because the woman was an alcoholic. It wasn’t until the woman was found in a dug-up pool that anyone realized it was murder. That was when the police started to look for the fake Jenny, but never found her and they realized she was living under a fake name. Somehow this got out to two guys who started a podcast about it. They called it “Finding Jenny”. They made it their mission to try and locate as well as a name who the fake Jenny was.

They tried interviewing the real Jenny’s family. They refused to talk to them. But the mother was willing to talk to the FBI. She identified Mason as Delia Holby. She said Holby was bad news. She was friends with her daughter Jenny and she suspected Holby had something to do with her daughter’s death. The real Jenny was terrified of boats. She would never have gotten on one alone much less at night. Holby probably had something to do with her death. Jenny’s mother sued the school. She used the information that Holby was having an affair with one of the teachers as a way to get a hefty payday and she wasn’t the only one.

Once they knew who Holby was, they started asking about her. It turns out Holby had been having a relationship with the headmaster of the school and not just a teacher. It all came out after Jenny’s trial. Holby’s mother used that to get her own leverage. She got two million to forget about her daughter being molested by the person running the school. There’s no telling when the relationship started. Holby was so traumatized by the molestation that she ran away. She kept changing her name. She did everything possible to forget that she was Delia Holby. And that’s why she only went back to Delia in order to get close to her mother.

Holby wanted the blood money used to silence her mother. Her mother hadn’t even told people that she had an older daughter. She got remarried and completely forget she has two kids and not just one. But the FBI found Holby. She had a gun trained on her mother and sister and so Scott took the shot. It was a lucky shot. It took down Holby without killing her. She’ll have to face her crimes. Her sister Rose also now knows what happened back then and so she wasn’t talking to their mother anymore.

It turns out Holby never killed Jenny. It was the man who was molesting her who killed her friend. He did so because Holby told her friend the truth. That they weren’t in love and that it wasn’t consensual. And so Holby ran after her friend was murdered because she was afraid she would be next.

The man who did that to her is now dead. He died several years ago. There was no need for her to keep running.

And Hana’s biological brother was in trouble. He was selling drugs to get out of debt and he wanted Ortiz’s help in getting some fast cash, but Ortiz instead helped him with a job opportunity and that was only if he stops selling drugs.

THE END
