General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) may be set up for some DNA disappointment. Will the results reveal a false alarm on their father-son connection?
Mac has come to grips with the news that Cody could be his biological son, but Cody is still working on that.
Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) feels like this DNA test could change everything, but what if it doesn’t – at least not in a positive way?
By the time Cody finally lets himself believe he’s found a loving dad, it may all come crashing down.
Likewise, Mac is getting used to the idea of having a biological son and perhaps getting to know Cody on a deeper level.
If the DNA results prove Cody isn’t related to Mac, it could be a crushing blow.
Cody has talked about all the disappointment in his life, so he may lash out over Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and her family setting him up to face more. However, this false alarm would work out well for Maxie and Cody’s growing bond.
Although Mac is Maxie’s stepdad, he’s been her primary father figure over the years. Cody would be like a sibling to Maxie if the DNA test results were a match.
Even without blood ties, it might be a little weird for Maxie to date her pseudo brother.
If the DNA results prove there’s no relation between Mac and Cody whatsoever, it could clear a new romantic path now that they’re hanging out so much.
After all, Maxie’s going to need someone to lean on once she realizes Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) is lying to her and keeping dangerous secrets.
Cody could be that person as sparks fly with Maxie, especially since his romance with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) has been such a disaster.
GH writers might start pulling Cody further in Maxie’s direction after the DNA results come in.
As for who Cody’s real father is, perhaps it’s the horse trainer he previously opened up about.
Cody admitted that guy was the closest thing to a father he ever had growing up, so the simplest explanation is that he really was Cody’s dad and never told him!
