General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, July 7, teases that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will have a secret meeting while Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) rejects Hamilton Finn’s (Michael Easton) idea. Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) complex new romance will also move forward, so let’s talk about what’s brewing.
In the park, Valentin will meet with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) to discuss their clandestine plans.
Since Laura Collins (Genie Francis) wants to deport Victor, he’ll push Valentin to do whatever it takes to eliminate the problem.
Victor wouldn’t mind wiping Laura off the map entirely if it comes down to it.
However, Valentin won’t be willing to go that far – and he won’t like it if Victor implies drastic action might be taken against Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) as well.
GH spoilers say Valentin will promise to slit Victor’s throat if this partnership goes south.
Perhaps Valentin will warn that Anna is off-limits and make it clear to Victor that harming her won’t be tolerated.
Of course, Victor will remain concerned about this Laura deportation situation and will eventually have to handle the problem himself.
In the meantime, Laura will give Anna updates on her strategy to deal with Victor and hope she gets this threat away from her family permanently.
Since Anna has been getting closer to Valentin lately, Laura will quiz her about that and offer a warning.
Valentin isn’t exactly the most trustworthy person in Port Charles, so Laura will push Anna to keep her guard up and protect herself from heartbreak.
Over with Alexis and Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison), they’ll continue to get under each other’s skin – though there’ll be growing attraction between them as well.
Alexis will remind Gregory of her challenge at The Invader, but they’ll end up upping the stakes sooner or later.
If Gregory’s op-ed gets massive reader support, then he’ll have more input at the paper.
This intriguing wager will help to ignite the spark that’s happening between Alexis and Gregory, so they’ll keep inching toward romantic territory.
Unfortunately, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) screwed up with Chase, so Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will ask questions and figure out exactly what’s got her so upset.
Ned may open Brook Lynn’s eyes to her self-centered side and argue that she needs to put Chase first right now.
Brook Lynn won’t want to surrender to Linc Brown (Dan Buran), but there’ll be time to deal with him later.
As for Chase, Brook Lynn may have to accept that her suggestions aren’t helping so far.
Maybe instead of trying to fix Chase’s problems, Brook Lynn should offer an apology and just provide a sympathetic ear.
Of course, Chase was perhaps a little oversensitive during his last confrontation with Brook Lynn.
Finn will hear the latest news and weigh in on his brother’s issues, but Chase will think the doc’s got it all wrong.
Finn might suspect Chase is holding a grudge since he always lands in jams for protecting Brook Lynn.
There’s also a chance Chase is lashing out because of all the romantic stumbling blocks he’s faced.
Although Chase will initially reject Finn’s accusation, he may come to realize this Brook Lynn conflict is deeper than it seems.
Chase and Brook Lynn really need to let all their walls down, so let’s hope they’ll both be able to do that.
At Shadybrook, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will tackle some frustration of her own. Liz hoped to be better and back home with her boys by now, but she needs more help before that can happen.
Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) will drop by and get an aggressive response from Liz, who’ll hurl a puzzle in his direction.
Liz may push Kevin to tell her when she’ll be released, but that’s up to her and the work she’s willing to put into her recovery.
Kevin will bring someone with him to visit Liz, so we’ll see if his plan lifts her spirits or makes things worse.
No matter how Liz feels in this moment, she’ll have to keep fighting for a better future.
