General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Thursday, May 26, tease that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will face a Claudia Zacchara (Sarah Brown) shocker on the stand – and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will also have to talk about kidnapper Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in his testimony.
We should note that the episode originally meant to air on Wednesday, May 25, will now air on Thursday, May 26. The preemption pushes everything back a day, but we’ve got the scoop on what fans can expect.
In the courtroom, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) will get Sonny to discuss Nixon Falls and how he didn’t want to know who he was.
Nina wasn’t the only one keeping Sonny from his family since he was adamant about staying in the dark.
Once Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) questions Sonny, he’ll be forced to rehash Avery Corinthos’ (Ava and Grace Scarola) kidnapping and all the damage Nina’s did with her actions.
Sonny will defend Nina since she was unwell at the time, but Diane will point out that he’s defending his daughter’s kidnapper and will wonder why they should trust his judgment.
Afterward, Scott will call Michael to the stand. There’ll be quite the courtroom shocker when Scott asks what happened between Michael and Claudia Zacchara!
Next, Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) will pay Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) a visit at the gallery and try to lift her spirits.
Since Rory wasn’t Trina’s arresting officer and she hasn’t been convicted, he’ll assure that he won’t get in trouble.
Rory will explain why he decided to become a cop and will reflect on wanting to do some good in the world.
There’ll be talk about Rory wanting to right the wrong of what happened to Trina, so these two will continue to connect.
In the meantime, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will reveal Ava Jerome Cassadine’s (Maura West) offer to loosen the strings of his trust fund it he moves out with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).
That’ll bring some awkwardness with Esme since she’d obviously prefer to stick around Wyndemere and follow Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) seduction instructions.
Esme will end up asking Spencer questions about whether they’d share a bed, but he’ll insist on living in style in a two-bedroom apartment.
At GH, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will pump Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) for information about Liz and get some pushback.
Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) will sense that something else is bothering Britt, who’ll talk about wishing she had someone special and will bring up Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Britt will also plan on attending a singles event soon, so Terry will offer to be her wingwoman – though she’ll point out that she’s seeing someone.
As for Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken), she’ll secretly land Chet Driscoll (Chris Van Etten) his dream job as a veteran’s hospital director.
That’ll put Chet in a tight spot since the job is in Chicago and he just started seeing Terry.
Amy will mention that Chet is dating her boss who hates her, but he won’t think the hate part is true.
Even so, Amy will push Chet to take this position in Chicago and won’t let him know she arranged it by sending in his resume.
After Cameron Webber (William Lipton) fills Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) in on Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) Shadybrook stint, Joss will offer comfort before talk turns to Esme.
It turns out Josslyn will want to get rid of Esme’s shields – the people who protect her like Spencer.
When Josslyn insists they need to break up Spencer and Esme, Cameron will try to shut that plan down.
Spencer will eventually arrive to let Cameron know he’s there for him while Liz is away.
There’ll be some sweet moments as Spencer shows his support and offers to be there for Cam’s brothers, too.
Later, Spencer will head to the gallery, where Rory will still be hanging out with Trina.
As Trina and Rory check out some art together, Spencer will glare over their warm moment.
Back with Esme, she’ll intentionally let it slip to Nikolas that she’s moving out with Spencer because of Ava’s trust fund deal.
Soon after, Nikolas will glare as he finds Ava enjoying drinks and some flirting with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).
