General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 5, reveals that Cameron Webber (William Lipton) tricked Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) for a DNA sample while a triple pool dunk got Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) all wet.
By the pool on Tuesday’s GH episode, Josslyn questioned why Cameron seemed so secretive and distant, but he blamed it on the stress of Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) situation and the video scandal aftermath.
When Cam acted like he didn’t want to complain around Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), she assured him that she wasn’t the only one with problems.
Josslyn encouraged Cameron not to keep things bottled up and gave him a kiss before he approached Carly.
After Cam claimed Carly had lipstick smudged on her teeth, she used a napkin to take care of it.
Meanwhile, Spencer ran into Esme and was forced to deal with her as he carried out his own DNA sample mission.
Spencer provoked Josslyn, who shoved him into the pool – causing Esme to shove Josslyn in the pool next. Trina then pushed Esme in the water, which led to a splash fest.
The chaotic scene gave Spencer an opportunity to score some of Josslyn’s yanked-out hair, but it also enraged Carly.
Carly left behind the napkin, so Cameron swiped it while she confronted Spencer and Esme.
After the latest round of drama got Esme and Spencer banned from the premises, they headed on their way.
In a moment alone, Spencer confirmed that Cameron was able to get a sample of Carly’s saliva.
Since Spencer had some of Josslyn’s hair, he was ready to move forward with the fake mother-daughter DNA test to dupe Esme.
Meanwhile, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) chatted with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Francis Carr) before Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero).
Cody hugged “Mama Falconeri” and reflected on his summer camp days with Dante.
Olivia mentioned the stables needing someone to oversee them, so Cody was interested in the job.
However, Cody had something to take care of first and interrupted Damian Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) attempt to sell Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) on Society Setups at the bar.
Britt insulted Cody as usual before stepping away – giving Cody a chance to make sure Spinelli had made the preparations he requested.
Spinelli complained about extortion, but Cody thought this was going to be a great move for both of them.
When Sonny appeared, he grew suspicious of Cody and the trouble Spinelli had landed in, but Spinelli refused to share exactly what was going on.
Back with Britt, she got a call from Zelda Telesco (Kristin Carey) and agreed to look at some new Society Setup matches.
Spinelli was pleased over the news and thought things would work out for Britt this time.
In Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) office, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) announced his plans to sell Crimson and offered Nina first dibs.
After Drew handed over the legal documents, he advised Nina to act fast if she wanted to make the purchase.
Drew ran into Olivia as he was leaving, so Nina came out with Drew’s forgotten briefcase and overheard part of their discussion.
That led to Nina realizing Drew was selling because Carly was losing her half of the Metro Court.
After being stonewalled by Carly and Olivia, Sonny later showed up to see Nina.
After Nina hinted about the mess Carly had gotten herself into, a confused Sonny pushed for answers.
Back at the Metro Court pool, Drew approached Carly to admit he did something – and he didn’t think Carly was going to like it.
Over with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), she tried to persuade Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) to get into music as a temporary career alternative.
When Chase realized Brook Lynn’s plan involved blackmailing Linc Brown (Dan Buran), he accused her of mainly wanting to help herself.
At the Home and Heart Channel headquarters, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) was nervous ahead of her live appearance.
Felty (Brian Norris) snapped photos and taunted Sasha about whether she needed more pills, but she denied it.
When Sasha tried to sneak one of the pills from her purse, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) showed up and asked if she needed a boost.
Brando just meant his own support since he decided to bail on everything else and come be there for Sasha’s big day.
Sasha admitted to being nervous when she went on the air with Haven de Havilland (Morgan Fairchild), but she relaxed when Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) called in to gush over her beauty and ask about the products.
Things took a wrong turn when another host named Flora Gardens (Susan Batten) unexpectedly whipped out a new item for the next presentation.
Sasha looked flustered when she realized it was a baby papoose.
General Hospital spoilers say Sasha’s dilemma will get even worse, so stay tuned.
