General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 23, reveals that Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) played mind games with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) while Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had a showdown. Let’s talk about how Wednesday’s GH episode played out.
At The Invader, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) brought Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) for a meeting with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
Cameron Webber (William Lipton) was already there with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), but Alexis sent the moms out and wanted to speak with the victims alone.
Cameron seemed hesitant and thought maybe the whole thing would blow over.
Josslyn was more eager to take a stand against injustice and got Cam on board in a private moment.
After Cam and Joss met with one of Alexis’ top reporters, they moved forward with telling their side of the story.
While Liz and Carly sat at the Metro Court, they reflected on their old feud and paid each other compliments.
Liz admitted to previously wanting Cam to end up with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), but now she saw that Josslyn was right for Cameron.
Elizabeth felt confident Joss would be OK since she had Carly in her corner and had inherited all her strong qualities.
Later, Cameron and Josslyn admitted they had given their interview.
A detective showed up to take Josslyn and Cameron’s statements, so Carly and Liz looked proud of them.
Meanwhile, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) wondered if Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was sure he wanted to know about the inconsistencies in Marshall’s past.
Curtis confirmed he did and found out about the time Marshall spent living in an apartment in Buenos Aires.
It was intriguing since the lease was under the name Marshall Ashford and not an alias.
Curtis realized this likely meant Marshall wasn’t under witness protection, so he was eager to learn more.
At GH, Marshall wanted to get the dosage on his medication adjusted and kept pestering to see Dr. Rose, who wasn’t in.
Sonny and Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) also showed up with Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola), who hurt her wrist on the playground.
Marshall glared when TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) took the case, so that led to Marshall confronting Sonny privately soon after.
Marshall felt like Sonny hadn’t listened to his warning to stay away from his family.
Sonny argued that TJ was a doctor helping his daughter, but Marshall felt like there were plenty of other doctors on staff.
Marshall wanted Sonny to steer clear of TJ, but Sonny was curious to see how Marshall would enforce that and sauntered off.
TJ caught a glimpse of the tense interaction and eventually asked Sonny about it, but Sonny insisted he had no problem with Marshall.
Avery’s wrist was just sprained, so she got a lollipop and wanted Mommy Carly to come along for ice cream.
Sonny and Ava let Avery knoe she’d always have her family’s love, even though there’d been a lot of changes lately.
Back with TJ, he tried to reassure Marshall about Sonny. Marshall wasn’t convinced and insisted that TJ needed to stay away from the mob boss.
If Sonny came sniffing around again, Marshall wanted TJ to let him know.
Avery literally ran into Marshall as she was leaving with Sonny and Ava.
Marshall’s pill bottle rolled toward Sonny, who picked it up and had a stare-down with his newest rival.
At Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) place, she talked to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) about how they had to close ranks and protect Spencer from Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) following his homecoming.
Laura really felt that Spencer should be living at Wyndemere and pointed out living at her place wasn’t a permanent solution.
Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) agreed as she appeared with packed bags and announced she was moving out.
Nikolas urged Esme to stay until he bought Spencer home. That way, Esme and Spencer could decide their next move together.
After Nikolas left, Laura acted like she now saw the good in Esme since she fought for Spencer and Nik to make amends.
Laura tried to remind Esme of her love for Spencer, but Esme was upset over Spencer’s interest in Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and how his friends treated her.
Laura thought Esme made a big difference in Spencer’s life, so Esme determined that Laura wanted her to look out for him when it came to Victor.
Esme just wasn’t sure she could get past Spencer’s behavior.
At Spring Ridge, Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) convinced Spencer to sit down for a game of chess with Ryan and let him use her to communicate his blinks.
Ryan told Spencer “you’re welcome” since he exploited Ryan’s name with all the Ava torment – though Spencer had nothing to show for it and had been dumped by his girlfriend.
Although Ryan was willing to offer friendship, Spencer wasn’t interested.
Through Harmony, Ryan assured Spencer that they were on the same side when it came to breaking up Ava and Nikolas.
Ryan acted powerless, but wondered what Spencer would do with his own power.
After Nikolas picked Spencer up, he took his son back to Laura’s place. Esme and Spencer then locked eyes as they stood across the room from each other.
Back at Spring Ridge, Harmony griped to Ryan about being used to his mind games.
Ryan blinked out that one day he would relieve Harmony of her service the only way he knew how.
General Hospital spoilers say Harmony could be in grave danger, so stay tuned!
