In tonight’s season, 34 episode 5 called, “The Amazing Race of Arabia,” as per the CBS synopsis, “For the first time in AMAZING RACE history, teams travel to the Kingdom of Jordan. They will ride a train and experience a scene reminiscent of the 1963 Oscar-winning film “Lawrence of Arabia,” search the Wadi Rum desert and visit the ancient city of Petra.”

Tonight’s The Amazing Race episode begins with the teams finding out they are going to the Kingdom of Jordan that has over 100 archaeological sites. Wadi Rum Dessert is covered with sand like 80% of Jordan. When they arrive, they get on a steam train. After beginning their journey with a relaxing train ride, the teams have no idea what they have in store. All of a sudden, they see horses, canals and people swinging swords, it looks like a scene out of a movie.
They receive their clues all at the same time, teams are told that they have just seen a scene reminiscent of the Oscar winning film Lawrence of Arabia. They have to go into the desert to find their next clue, they have cars and drivers.
Next, its a Roadblock, “who wants to test their metal?” Teams must search the crash site of a movie set for a piece of spaceship debris in the sand, using a metal detector. Once they retrieve the piece, they will have their clue.
Marcus & Michael are in first place and get their next clue, teams are now in the city of Petra, the archaeological site they are on was named one of the new seven wonders of the world.
Teams encounter a Detour next, in “Camal Caravan” teams need need to carry four bags of hay and provide water to tired canals. In “Palace Puzzle” teams have to compete a giant slide puzzle, depicting what the tombs were believe to have looked like then they were first carved.
Meanwhile, Lumumba, David and Linton are still looking for their piece of metal. David finally finds his, he and Aubrey are on their way to Petra. Lumumba is next, he and Glenda are on their way to the car and she is upset, reminds him that it is a race because he took a long time. Father & Daughter, Linton & Shark are still there.
Linton finally finishes, they are on their way to Petra.
Michael and Marcus, after filling up the bin of water, realize they took the wrong detour, this is so hard in the burning heat.
Luis & Michelle are finished the detour and now must make their way on foot to the Great Temple to find Phil at the next pitstop, they are the first team to arrive and win $5000 that they can enjoy after the race. Derek & Claire are second, but she falls feet away from Phil but doesn’t let her get her down.
Lumumba & Linton decide to do the Camal Caravan, but when they see how much water they have to get, they change their mind.
Michael & Marcus, for how hard their detour was, they make it to the stop and are team number three. Abby & Will are team number four, Emily & Molly are team number five.
Sharik wants to do the puzzle, but Linton talks her out of it and they go to canal caravan.
Quinton & Mattie are team number six. Meanwhile, Aubrey and David are having a hard time with the puzzle. Glenda & Lumumba are team number seven.
Aubrey & David are team number eight.
Linton & Shark are the last team to arrive and have been eliminated from the race.
