The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) may have Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) committed after the recording setup is exposed. Will Ridge try to force his son into a mental health facility?
Ridge has repeatedly defended Thomas as a changed man and someone who can be a good role model for Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri).
It’s true that Thomas seems to love Douglas, but apparently not as much as he hates Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang)!
B&B has made it easy to put the puzzle pieces together and see that Thomas is the one behind the voice recording.
Thomas must’ve used the voice changer app Douglas mentioned to make it look like Brooke called CPS.
That proves Thomas was willing to put Douglas through what could’ve been a traumatic ordeal – just so he could drive Brooke away from Ridge and his family.
Douglas thankfully wasn’t too upset, but Thomas had no way of knowing how he would react.
Thomas also had no way of knowing that the CPS visit would go well.
What if there had been another incident or misunderstanding that could’ve cost Thomas his son?
Thomas was willing to put custody of Douglas on the line, which says a lot about his mental state and ability to care for a child.
We can’t forget how Thomas kept Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) secret after the Champagne label swap fiasco.
Thomas’ decision to keep quiet led to a chain reaction that left Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) bleeding out in an alley.
Thomas keeps proving that he hasn’t moved beyond the unstable, bad decisions of the past. Ridge is going to see that once the truth comes out, so what will he do?
It’s obvious that Thomas needs more help than a few simple sessions with Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen).
There might’ve been a time when Thomas improved, but he’s backsliding big time and could use some serious mental health care.
Since there’s a good chance Thomas’ behavior will take a truly dangerous turn before this storyline is over, Ridge may push to have his son committed.
Thomas may end up in a mental institution down the road, so we’ll see if he actually gets the guidance he needs.
