The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 2, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) connected the no funeral dots before John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) credited his wife with saving his life.
In front of the church, Finn promised to explain everything, but first he wanted to look in Steffy’s eyes and give her a kiss.
Finn then kissed Steffy passionately before they both made their way back to see Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen).
Steffy was clearly still in shock over Finn’s survival, so she was crying happy tears and struggling to keep it together.
Taylor wanted to take a picture of the reunited couple, so she snapped one and vowed to send it to Finn’s parents.
In a moment alone, Finn told Steffy how Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) still saw life in him and smuggled him out of the hospital.
Steffy also learned that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) took over and tried to act like she saved Finn instead.
Finn despised Sheila for what she’d done to them, but Steffy argued that having Finn back was all that mattered.
Steffy got Finn to repeatedly confirm he was real and there with her.
Finn admitted he wasn’t back to 100 percent when it came to his health, but being with Steffy was helping.
It eventually dawned on Steffy that Li didn’t want to have a funeral because Finn wasn’t really dead.
Steffy was upset over Li not giving her updates and felt she deserved to know as Finn’s wife.
Finn couldn’t explain why Li hid the truth, but he knew he was there because his mom never gave up on him.
After Finn acknowledged how depressed Steffy had been, they talked about the darkness lifting.
It was Steffy’s prayers and the thought of her that caused Finn’s heart to beat and his lungs to take another breath.
Finn said it was all Steffy and credited her for saving his life as they hugged.
Back with Ridge, he called Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and learned Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) spilled the Finn survival news.
Ridge filled Brooke in on Finn’s reunion with Steffy and the kids before talk turned to Sheila escaping again.
Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) ranted about Sheila’s getaway, but Brooke argued that they couldn’t let it overshadow the joy of Finn and Steffy’s reunion.
Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) also heard the latest in the Finn saga and was amazed.
Back with Finn, he assured Steffy that they’d never be apart again. Finn wanted to be as close to Steffy as possible and held her in his arms.
Soon after, Ridge and Taylor brought Kelly Spencer (Remington Blaire Evans) and Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Piper Harriot) in for a big family reunion.
Finn and Steffy both seemed emotional over finally being back together with the kids.
At Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) place, he answered the door shirtless after wetting his hair and acted like he was getting ready for work.
Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin) asked about Sheila, but Deacon lied that he hadn’t seen or heard from her.
Once Baker was gone, Sheila thanked Deacon for not ratting her out.
Deacon blew up at Sheila for jeopardizing his probation and refused to go back to prison for her or anyone else.
Sheila just needed a place to collect her thoughts and form a plan, but Deacon wanted her to leave.
Deacon thought he’d better take off in case Baker was watching, but he warned Sheila to get out and not come back there again.
After Deacon left on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Sheila looked uneasy and banged the back of her head on the door in frustration.
