General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 2, reveals that Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) arrested Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) while Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) had a secret procedure. Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) also vowed to cover for Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), so here’s how all the drama went down.
At Wyndemere, Nikolas asked if Ava pushed Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), so Ava explained the struggle over the letter and tried to call 911.
Nikolas stopped Ava since it’d look like she intentionally shoved Esme off.
As Nikolas sent Ava to the bedroom, he vowed to take care of the mess, Esme’s suitcase and everything else.
Once Ava was alone, she looked in the mirror at a bruise from the brawl.
Nikolas reappeared with Esme’s shoe and admitted that’s all he found in the area where she tumbled.
Ava acknowledged that they didn’t know whether Esme was dead or alive, but they both knew that fall wasn’t necessarily fatal.
Since Ava hit Esme and cut her lip, she feared there’d be evidence of an assault.
Ava also thought her DNA would be on Esme, but Nikolas acted like most of it would wash off.
After Ava worried about what would happen if Esme turned up alive, Nikolas suggested it’d be her word against Ava’s.
No matter what happened, Nikolas intended to protect Ava.
At GH, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) swiped Oz Haggerty’s (Max Faugno) file and compared notes with Jordan on the drug connection.
Curtis speculated that Esme drugged Oz after seeing how combining the opioid with alcohol worked on Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).
Jordan wanted to speak with Esme since Oz was still in a medically induced coma.
After a call came in, Jordan insisted on handling it personally and hinted to Curtis about it potentially affecting Trina.
In court, Trina continued her time on the stand and made it clear that Esme set her up.
Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) managed to make Esme look jealous over Trina’s feelings for Spencer and vindictive toward Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) as well.
During closing arguments, the ADA urged the jury to focus on the evidence against Trina.
Diane countered that the evidence was circumstantial and interpreted it as Esme’s vengeful frame-up.
Afterward, Spencer tried to have a conversation with Trina, but Jordan showed up to arrest him over his Spring Ridge escape.
That left Trina distraught as Spencer was dragged away in handcuffs.
At the hospital, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) talked to Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) about the bone marrow biopsy being the next step.
Since Willow wanted to do it ASAP, Terry agreed to take her back to the operating room.
Willow underwent the procedure, so Terry praised her for how she handled it and headed off to the lab with the sample.
Britt also gave Willow props for her bravery, but she gave her patient a nudge toward leaning on Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), too.
Michael couldn’t find Willow anywhere, so he left her a voicemail and quizzed TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow).
TJ obviously didn’t spill anything about Willow’s potential leukemia diagnosis, so Michael was still puzzled when Willow finally appeared.
Willow downplayed it as another test, but Michael didn’t remember Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) needing so many when she was pregnant.
Then again, Michael acknowledged that Nelle hadn’t exactly been honest with him!
Next, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) was disoriented after envisioning Peter August (Wes Ramsey) in the stairwell.
Fans could hear someone calling for “Daddy” repeatedly until Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) took Liz’s hand and jolted her back to reality.
In Finn’s office, Liz downplayed the ordeal and acted like she just overdid it on her first day back.
Finn thought Liz should see a neurologist, so she lashed out over him thinking she needed her head examined.
Finn urged Liz to do it for her kids, but she was offended and ended up stomping off.
When Terry appeared, Finn confessed he thought something was very wrong with Elizabeth.
