The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Wednesday, January 26 Recap – Katie Accuses Carter – Hope Calls Douglas Home ASAP

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, January 26, reveals that Katie Logan (Heather Tom) accused disappearing Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) while Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) called Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) home ASAP.

At the cliff house on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Douglas insisted he wasn’t talking about the Christmas song.

Ridge realized Douglas meant something really happened and told his grandson to tell everyone exactly what he saw.

Douglas explained that he peered through the window and saw Grandma was kissing Santa Claus.

Ridge said that was one lucky Santa and seemed to brush it off as typical kid nonsense.

At the cabin, Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) panicked at the thought of Douglas spilling something. She felt they had to get Douglas back home before it was too late.

Hope called Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and suggested the timing was bad when it came to this visit.

Brooke swore they’d reschedule when things were less chaotic and got Thomas to agree to bring Douglas back to the cabin right away.

Steffy was furious over Hope’s sudden demand, especially when Douglas just got there.

Nevertheless, Thomas said they’d better go and then took Douglas back like Hope wanted.

Once Steffy was alone with Ridge, she suggested Hope’s call was so weird.

Steffy couldn’t understand why Hope would want Douglas back out of the blue – and Ridge seemed confused about the whole thing, too.

At the cabin again, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) warned Brooke that Douglas couldn’t see her upset like this. Hope agreed and pointed out that Douglas was a sensitive kid.

Hope didn’t want Brooke making Douglas feel like he’d done anything wrong, so Brooke assured Hope that she wouldn’t.

After Thomas brought Douglas in, Hope reiterated that she’d reschedule some special father-son time for them soon.

Thomas headed out, so Douglas was left to wonder why he’d been summoned home. He learned that Grandma wanted to have a little chat with him about what he saw on New Year’s Eve.

Douglas ate some apples for a snack and suggested the Grandma kissing Santa story was funny.

Douglas admitted he told Daddy, Grandpa and Aunt Steffy, but they all thought he was talking about the song.

Douglas added that Ridge said that was one lucky Santa, so Liam laughed nervously and tried to keep things light.

After Douglas said he forgot the part about it being New Year’s Eve, Brooke asked to speak with him alone.

After Hope and Liam stepped out, Brooke hugged Douglas and talked about what a great time they all had on Christmas.

Now that Christmas was over, Brooke suggested they should forget all about Grandma kissing anybody – so Douglas confirmed that she meant Santa.

Douglas added that it was New Year’s Eve rather than Christmas, but Brooke stood by her idea about moving forward.

Brooke said the past was in the past and thought it was time to look to the future.

Brooke wanted to focus on new exciting adventures, so Douglas said OK and embraced his grandma. As Brooke hugged Douglas, she declared that all was forgotten.

Once Thomas returned to the cliff house, he noted that Hope said it was a family thing.

Steffy complained since Douglas was already having a family thing there with them. She didn’t like Hope just changing the plan like that.

Ridge thought Thomas should’ve pushed for answers, but Thomas felt Hope wouldn’t have asked if it wasn’t really important.

At Forrester Creations, Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) found it disturbing that Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) was out on a date with a model when Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) claimed to care about him.

Paris argued that she already knew and tried to sell Grace on her idea of a modern relationship.

Grace wondered if Zende was trying to make Paris jealous with his date, but Paris assured her mother that Zende didn’t play games like that.

Paris insisted it was her idea to keep things casual since she wanted her freedom. She confessed that Zende was going to propose until she stopped him.

Grace basically thought Zende was the perfect man and didn’t get why Paris wasn’t going all in, but Paris said she wasn’t ready for a lifelong commitment right now.

At Carter’s loft, he was thinking about his make-out session with Paris when Katie showed up.

Katie got the feeling Carter was expecting somebody else and wanted to talk about the latest marketing numbers.

When Katie wondered what Carter had been up to, she accused him of having the same guarded look he had in the halls at work.

Katie asked if there was anything Carter wanted to share with her and mostly dodged his attempt at a Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) discussion.

After Katie brought the conversation back around to Carter and how he was spending his time, she suggested he’d been disappearing lately.

Katie could tell that something – or someone – was on Carter’s mind.

Carter admitted to being distracted by someone, but he knew he had to be careful. He assured Katie that this person wasn’t married, but it was a complicated situation.

That left Katie wondering if maybe there was a way to simplify things, but Carter remained cagey.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Carter and Paris’ romance will lead to unexpected consequences, so stay tuned.
