The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap review for the week of November 7-11 reveals that we were begging Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) to just spit it out already! B&B fans are as frustrated as Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) in this “Bridge” breakup story, so let’s talk about that.
Some secrets are easier to accept than others on this show. For example, Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) not telling Eric Forrester (John McCook) about the heart monitor ring came with a believable excuse.
We could buy that Quinn didn’t want Eric to think she was worried about him.
Quinn’s silence was just a way to preserve the surprise and allow her to find out the affair had his heart racing, but the buildup was fun rather than frustrating.
Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for this CPS call storyline.
Many viewers are exasperated with Ridge since he won’t tell Brooke exactly why he dumped her and went back to Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) out of the blue.
At this point, Brooke needs to know it was the CPS call that led to the annulment.
It would actually make it more dramatic since Brooke would deny it again and Ridge wouldn’t believe her.
The secret should be HOW Ridge knows Brooke did it rather than what she did.
It’d be a much better story if Brooke was questioning why Ridge didn’t buy her denial instead of just wondering what even happened.
Ridge could keep the CPS call recording and Walter Barnes’ (Steve Richard Harris) involvement under wraps, but it’d just make more sense if Brooke knew what he blamed her for.
On the bright side, the show at least made some progress by having Ridge rant about Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) during a confrontation.
Now Brooke believes Thomas must’ve had a hand in her annulment, even if she doesn’t know exactly how.
We’re finally a step closer to Brooke learning Thomas set her up for the CPS call betrayal.
On another note, Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) romantic date for Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) was adorable.
It’s kind of hilarious that Deacon recently proposed to Brooke – only to treat his fugitive secret girlfriend to a night at a closed restaurant.
Although we’d like to see some movement in Sheila’s storyline too, the change of scenery was nice since Sheila’s been cooped up for so long.
Deacon is a lovable idiot in this whole Sheila situation, so that’s proof of Sean Kanan’s talent and charm!
