In tonight’s The Equalizer episode, a man reached out to McCall for her help in locating his sister. Julien is his name. He told McCall he feels his sister is in danger because he had a vision of it. Julien claims to be psychic. He said he always had visions and that no one ever believed him. They didn’t believe him when he saw his parents’ death. They didn’t believe him once he entered foster care with his sister Calista and no one believes him recently when he said his sister is in danger. Calista is all he has left. He couldn’t risk losing her. He reached out to McCall. He told her about his visions and he even described them in detail so that he could get her help. McCall hadn’t believed.

She thought he was crazy at first. She even believed that what he was seeing was possibly a hallucination and not a vision. She had Harry who agreed with her. He too thought Julien was crazy. He didn’t believe in visions. He also looked into Julien and he found out that Julien has been in and out of rehab and mental facilities for years. Harry thought Julien was just going through a psychotic break. But McCall did at least try to find his sister. She went to Calista’s apartment. She got shot at by a man that Julien has described seeing in his vision and it kept getting odder from there. Julien’s sister was in real danger.

There was no doubt about that. McCall put real pull in trying to locate Calista. She wanted to know why someone with a gun was after Calista and so they checked out surveillance footage looking for Calista. Calista was withdrawing money out of an ATM to pay off a drug dealer. McCall told Julien about it. He said that his sister didn’t do drugs. McCall took his word for it and she continued to look for Calista. She tracked down the drug dealer. She “interrogated” him. She found out that Calista bought a gun. Something that couldn’t be traced. Julien was told about it and he said that didn’t sound like his sister.

Julien and Calista’s parents were murdered. Julien said Calista has hated gun ever since then and that she would never buy a gun much less use one. Julien also disappeared. He went following his visions one moment and he wandered off. Not that McCall let that stop her investigation. She tracked down the man that tried to shoot her. He was found in a silver Mercedes (like Julien described from his visions). The man with a scar on his face was also dead. Someone dumped his body in the trunk of that car. McCall found him. She called it into the newly returned Detective Dante and the police took care of the scene.

They found fingerprints in the car. It was a match for Julien. Everyone began believing that Julien knew about the car because he already knew everything and he wanted to kill the guy after his sister. Only, it turns out Julien didn’t get along with his sister. She almost filed a restraining order against him once and backed out of it at the last minute. Calista then moved to New York where she asked her brother not to follow. Which he ignored. He said it ignored it because his sister was in trouble and so Dante was on Team Psychotic break. He also had Harry believe that Calista was on the run from her brother.

But McCall didn’t buy that. She kept looking for Calista. She found out the gunman after her was connected to the Serbian Mafia and so she talked to the guy in charge. He denied everything to her face only McCall bugged his phone. The Serbians had put out a hit on Calista. She was a lifestyle journalist. She must have accidentally found something. McCall used the bug on the Serbian phone to get a location and she sent Mel to it. Mel had to take down a gun with a gun. Just not before she saw Calista. Mel tried to rescue Calista. Calista fired at her. She ran off and Mel couldn’t find her again.

It seems that Calista had stumbled across an illegal gun smuggling ring. The Serbians were using a gun amnesty program to steal guns, file the numbers off, and resale them out on the street. They were using a local politician by the name of Rosa Martinez. Calista was supposed to write a story about her when she caught wind of the bigger story. Harry found her notes. She used initials for everything. She also thought it was Councilman Joe Silva behind it when it wasn’t. It was actually Martinez. Calista approached Martinez. She told her about the story she was writing and she even asked for Martinez’s help in taking down the ring.

She didn’t know that Martinez’s foster brother was the one in charge of the local Serbian Syndicate. Calista approached Martinez for help and she accidentally she hadn’t told anyone about it. So, Martinez was leading her into a trap where Julien freaked out in his cell. He saw his sister die. He saw someone firing a gun and he thought it was at his ster. Dante called McCall. McCall and Mel later found Calista before she could be killed and they rescued her. They also took down Martinez and her brother. Dante arrested everyone. He also reunited Julien with his sister and she wasn’t mad that he came to rescue her. She might even start believing him now about his visions.

The only person who didn’t believe was Harry. Harry said that Calista probably warned Julien in a phone call he forgot about because of the medications he’s on and so everything else was a coincidence. And no one can convince differently.

Later, McCall had a talk with her daughter. Delilah had a therapy sessions. She admitted that she has feelings of dread whenever she thinks about her mom’s work because secretly she’s afraid her mom could die like Bishop.

THE END!
