The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) Grand Phoenix takeover may be the perfect revenge after Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) ruins her second chance.
Of course, Phyllis isn’t the only one plotting against Diane since Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) are in on this, too.
However, there’s no denying that Diane hates Phyllis most of all since they’re the main rivals here.
Y&R is setting Diane up for a huge fall, so she’s going to want revenge – especially on Phyllis.
How might Diane go about achieving that? Perhaps Diane could put herself in the prime position to score an infuriating new job.
Diane is now lying to Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) face about her connection to Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and making things worse for herself.
Although Kyle will surely find it in his heart to forgive Diane sooner or later, this exposure is still going to cause a huge setback.
Diane will lose her progress and have to claw her way back after months of building trust with Kyle.
This will also blow things up with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and may leave Diane without any hope of a romantic reunion – at least for now.
After her enemy strikes, there’ll be nothing to stop Diane from dragging Phyllis down with her.
That’s where Diane’s partnership with Tucker may come in handy.
The only reason Diane wants out of that partnership now is because it could damage her reputation.
Once the damage is done, Diane might as well continue to reap the benefits of this alliance.
Tucker may force Diane to continue anyway since she didn’t keep her end of their amended bargain.
Y&R fans will recall that Diane was supposed to let Tucker know the minute Ashley was back in town, but Ashley wound up contacting Tucker herself.
Tucker may use that technicality to call the deal off and force Diane to keep doing his bidding – though she may not mind once their connection comes to light.
Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) is Tucker’s inside woman at Chancellor-Winters, so he may gain control of the company.
We can’t forget that Chancellor-Winters owns The Grand Phoenix, so Tucker could easily let Diane run the place as long as she keeps finding ways to make herself useful.
Tucker might even sign over full hotel ownership depending on what Diane can offer in return.
Can you imagine how furious Phyllis will be if Diane ends up with her old hotel?
That’s particularly true if their latest round of feuding earns both Diane and Phyllis the boot at Marchetti.
Phyllis may be unemployed and miserable while she watches Diane rising from the ashes.
In other words, Diane might take over The Grand Phoenix as an excuse to stay in town and start working on her third chance with Kyle as well as Jack!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane isn’t someone you can keep down for long, so she’ll inevitably fight back after Phyllis and the others strike.
