The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) may ask Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) out on a real date. Will Jack officially forgive Diane and want to renew their romance?
Jack keeps insisting that he’s always going to be on guard when it comes to Diane. However, it’s easy to see that Jack is dropping that guard instead.
There’s been a noticeable shift in Jack’s attitude toward Diane whether he wants to admit it or not.
Jack can act like he’s just being polite all he wants, but it’s obviously more than that.
Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) has noticed Diane growing more attached to Jack lately and has become quite concerned.
On the August 29 episode, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will also suspect Diane is the reason for Jack’s good mood and quiz him about whether forgiveness is possible.
We’ll see Traci note that Jack and Diane are spending a lot of time together.
Jack will even invite Diane to a little lunch celebration with Traci, Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) and Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang), which Diane will pass on due to work.
The point is Diane doesn’t have to make excuses to hang out with Jack anymore.
Jack genuinely wants to be around Diane and may ultimately realize that he has more than friendly feelings for her.
During the week of August 29-September 2, Jack will make a stunning decision. Later, Kyle will get some big news from Jack that leaves him unsettled.
It sounds like Jack could at least decide he forgives Diane after all.
Jack previously wasn’t sure that was possible, but he may decide he owes Diane that much after all the work she’s put into changing.
From there, Jack may eventually take things a step further and ask Diane on an official date.
Perhaps Jack will determine that he’s getting in his own way and potentially sabotaging his own chance at happiness.
If there’s a possibility of finding love with Diane in this new chapter, Jack may want to take advantage of it.
Of course, if Jack indeed chooses to get romantically involved with Diane again, it’s going to make some serious waves.
Kyle, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will freak if Jack and Diane end up having a lovely date night!
