The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will tackle a mystery together. They’ll team up to solve a case and renew their love along the way if all goes well.
Y&R fans know the biggest thing preventing a “Phack” reunion right now is fear.
Jack expressed his own concerns about getting hurt again, so Phyllis really took those to heart.
Although Jack seems willing to take the risk, Phyllis is afraid of letting him down and destroying their friendship.
The last thing Phyllis wants to do is hurt Jack, but she’s doing that anyway by shutting the door on him romantically.
Of course, there’s also the threat of putting permanent physical distance between them.
Phyllis is seriously considering joining Summer Newman-Abbott (Hunter King) at Marchetti in Milan, so that’s something else that’ll affect Phyllis’ chances with Jack.
Fortunately, Phyllis will decide against moving to Italy – and that means she’ll have a chance to grow closer to Jack once more.
Y&R will offer the perfect opportunity to do that through a new mystery storyline – one that Phyllis and Jack will tackle head-on as a team.
This could turn into a situation like when Jack sought the “teardrop of love” emerald and came to grips with Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) death.
Finding that emerald helped Jack offer Dina closure and showed Jack a hopeful path forward.
There’s some new mystery on the horizon that’ll bring plenty of clues and questions.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will step up to help Jack put the puzzle pieces together, so that’ll take their mission to some surprising places.
No matter what this mystery involves or how the case gets cracked, the real point seems to be the journey.
Jack will be able to spend extra time with Phyllis and remind her of the love between them, so that’ll hopefully seal the deal on “Phack” moving forward as a couple.
