The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) will continue to face off with the Abbotts, but maybe he could tangle with the Newmans next. Now that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) is gone, the Newman clan could use another enemy to spar with.
Of course, it might also be smart to give Jeremy another connection to the canvas – like a biological child.
Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) recently opened up to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) about her problematic parents, so this might be a great time to make Jeremy her bio dad.
According to Sally, her parents were carnival workers who often engaged in criminal behavior. It caught up with them one day, so they abandoned Sally and her sister.
It makes sense that Sally’s father might’ve reinvented himself with a new name and another path of crime.
We could buy Jeremy as a former carnival worker who eventually upgraded to money laundering and found a taste of the good life.
Maybe that’s where Sally gets her scrappy side! Jeremy is certainly a persistent man, so there are some similarities that Y&R could play up here if they wanted to.
Then again, it’s possible Sally’s mother lied about her paternity all those years ago.
In that case, Sally and Jeremy’s potential bio link could be brand-new information. The father Sally knew may not have been her real one.
That could easily tie in with Sally’s pregnancy storyline.
Sally will inevitably face a paternity dilemma since she slept with both Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) around the same time.
If Sally found out she was lied to about her bio dad, that could help her understand how wrong it is.
That’s the kind of thing that could influence Sally’s decision to tell the truth – no matter who the “baby daddy” turns out to be.
However, Sally is carrying a Newman either way if this pregnancy story moves forward.
That makes her baby precious cargo and could make Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) determined to protect her unborn child from the likes of potential Grandpa Jeremy.
Since Victor has already been researching Jeremy and has a dossier on Sally too, he might even be the first one to make the bio link.
There’d be a lot of dramatic value in making some character updates and having Jeremy turn out to be Sally’s biological father.
