The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Thursday, September 24, reveals that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will catch Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) at the Riverbank Motel.
Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will also push Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to reconnect with Jill Abbott (last played by Lauren Koslow) while he still has the chance.
At home, Billy will dance with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) until they start bickering over Jill’s phone call.
When Billy doesn’t answer and continues to stand against Jill’s wedding attendance, Sally will go to bed instead of clashing with him.
After Sally secretly calls Traci to come over, Billy’s sister will indeed pay him a visit.
That’ll lead to Traci bringing up her complicated relationship with Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) and how she had to push through the pain or else she knew she’d regret it.
Similarly, Traci will think Billy’s going to regret it if he doesn’t invite Jill to the wedding and let her be there for the baby’s birth afterward.
Since Jill isn’t well, Traci will contend that it could be the only time Jill gets to hold her grandchild.
Traci will reflect on a special moment she shared with Dina before her demise and hope that Billy gets a moment like that as well.
After Traci’s exit and a phone call with Jill, Billy will give Sally the good news that Jill’s coming to the wedding as long as she keeps the peace.
At the tack house, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will broach the topic of exes with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), so Victoria will assume she wants to talk about Kyle.
Victoria will worry Claire isn’t over her former flame, but Claire will insist that she is.
Claire will want to discuss Victoria’s relationship with Billy instead now that he’s marrying Sally.
Victoria will promise she doesn’t feel weird about it, but Claire won’t want her mom to be alone and will give her a nudge toward dating again.
Claire will think Victoria needs to find someone who appreciates her amazingness, so Victoria will secretly text Kyle about one of their usual meetups.
At the Riverbank Motel, Y&R spoilers say Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will show up after being summoned by Matt.
Phyllis will wonder if he wants to say another goodbye or give her another letter since they’ve done all that already.
Matt will point out that instead of going with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk), Phyllis could walk off into the sunset with him and run Arabesque remotely.
Phyllis will question if Matt’s asking her to run away with him, but he’ll ultimately admit he can’t do that.
Matt will argue that if Phyllis is ever going to have a chance to reconcile with her kids, it’s going to happen there in Genoa City.
All of this will be rather confusing to Phyllis, but she’ll eventually reiterate that Matt needs to bail on his Patty plan or else he’ll end up deceased.
Once Phyllis takes off, she’ll head to The Shadow Room and find Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei).
Phyllis will want to know if she’d be missed at all if she left town, so Daniel will assume this is about Matt.
In the end, Daniel will push Phyllis to stay in Genoa City since her home and family are there.
Back at the motel, Matt will step out of his room right as Kyle’s leaving his own.
That’ll bring an awkward moment as Kyle and Matt spot each other.
