The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, August 22 Update – Nick Still Wants to Confess – Victor Fed Up with Adam’s Behavior

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, August 22, teases that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will still want to confess on some level while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) gets fed up with Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) behavior.

At Crimson Lights, Nick will find Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and offer updates on Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) decision to close the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) investigation.

Sharon will think that’s great news, but she’ll sense that Nick is still quite troubled.

Although Nick didn’t mean to kill Ashland, he’s responsible for a man’s death – and that’s not an easy burden to carry.

Y&R spoilers say Nick will deal with some difficult inner turmoil as he tries to cope.

However, Nick will also have a problem with Victor and how he handled all this.

There’ll be a lot of resentment built up since it’s always Victor’s way or the highway – even if it means breaking laws, bending rules and creating chaos.

Part of Nick will still want to confess what he knows about the cover-up.

It’ll feel wrong to let Victor get away with this, but Sharon will offer an important reminder.

Stirring things up again would only cause Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) more pain – and that’s certainly not what Nick wants to do.

Deep down, Nick will know he needs to suck it up and accept this was the best outcome for all parties involved.

Meanwhile, Victor will seethe over Adam’s behavior. Since Victor likes when his children are good little Newman soldiers, he’s not happy with Adam’s decision to distance himself and go his own way.

Adam may add to Victor’s anger by pushing his buttons over this Ashland situation.

A fierce faceoff is brewing between this angry father and his rebellious son, but Adam will continue doing whatever he wants – no matter how much Victor objects.

Unfortunately, the Ashland mayhem may not be over since Adam seems poised to steal evidence in the case.

That could provide some useful ammunition to Adam as he moves forward with sinister plans.

Until then, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will have some guidance for Victoria, so this could bring a discussion about Johnny Abbott (soon-to-be Paxton Mishkind) and whether he should know the truth about Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).

Although the timing isn’t great due to Ashland’s death saga, Billy may wonder if there’ll ever really be the right time for this.

Perhaps Victoria’s reluctance to reveal Chelsea as the bio mom is about deeper issues instead.

Billy may get Victoria to open up about her fears and offer reassurance that she’ll always be Johnny’s mother – even once he finds out Chelsea gave birth to him.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victoria will appreciate having Billy to lean on, so stay tuned.
