In tonight’s Chicago PD episode, Hailey keeps calling Jay. She isn’t sure if her is getting her messages. She ignores all calls from the county jail. The next day, Hailey pays Sean O’Neil a visit in jail. She tells him to leave her alone. The contact stops now. He tells her he has things to tell her.
Someone took a woman named Samantha Beck. Hailey leaves and searches for the woman. She arrives at the woman’s home where she spots blood outside on the fence. She heads inside to find the woman’s son sitting on the floor. Men took his mom and told him he cannot move or the house will explode. She calls the team.
Voight and the team arrive to help. There were no devices inside the home. They used a laser pointer to trick the boy. Voight heads into the house and talks to the boy Callum. He gets the boy to stand up and leave the living room after gaining his trust. After, Callum tells them that men in clown masks took his mom away.
The team goes over what they know and have for information. Its 28 hours into Samantha’s abduction, Voight wants to widen the net. He also wants Hailey to find out from Sean how he knew all of this. She heads to the prison and questions him. He wants something in return for a name. He wants her to visit each week. She gets a name. Sean’s neighbor in the cell next to him spoke about Samantha.
Hailey goes back to the prison and has Sean wired up to talk to his cellmate for more information. Sean goes to lunch with Parker, the man who is in the cell next to him. He gets information on Samantha.
The men who took her already gave her father a ransom option. Bought and Hailey head to see the dad. He confesses he was called. They want a million dollars. They look at the video that was sent for proof of life and search the background. She is sitting in an old factory.
The team arrives at the factory. Samantha and the men are gone. City workers arrived at the factory to assess the soil when they saw a black van take off. The team must brain storm again. They discover two men that Parker from the inside typically runs with. They also head back to Samantha’s dad.
He isn’t telling them something. He isn’t any help but they manage to catch a lead anyways and head to a nearby factory where the black vehicle was seen. They find their men and Samantha. One man gets away with her in the van as she screams while the other takes one of their bullets.
Voight and Hailey chase the van and manage to get Samantha. Before they can get the other guy, Samantha gets the gun and shoots him in the van. Later at the hospital, Samantha tells them she didn’t know the men who took her. She denies any wrong doing when it comes to her dad. They ardent buying it.
Hailey heads to buy a pizza and then tries calling Jay again. She learns he asked for an extension. His superior tells her. She cries after. She then visits Sean and tells him she will not be back. This isn’t good for her. He tells her that her speech is great but she is telling the wrong person.
