Days Of Our Lives Recap Friday, September 22: Maggie Quits – Chloe Hears Sarah’s Baby Daddy Truth

Days of Our Lives recap for Friday, September 22 reveals what happened in Greece doesn’t stay in Greece, reluctant marriage officiants, and who’s the daddy-someone finds out! Theresa Donovan (Jen Lilley) wants to talk about what happened in Greece, Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) a reluctant marriage officiant, and someone finds out who’s the daddy!

Home from Greece, Theresa buttonholed Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) as soon as he walked in the door. She showed up at his place as soon as he dragged in his suitcase, wanting to talk about what happened in Greece. In the meantime, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) delivered Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) retrieved briefcase to Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth).

Brady hoped the contents of the briefcase would bring some insights, and Justin was surprised it hadn’t been opened. Little do they know that it had-by Theresa!

Meanwhile, Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) showed up at the Titan offices, and threw away Maggie’s nameplate, replacing it with her own. She did manage to retain a secretary, who called her and she told her to let someone in. It was Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) who not so politely asked her want she wanted. She threw her arms around him, calling him “son”, and he pushed her away, she told him she needed a right hand man and he was her first choice.

Elsewhere, Xander was trying to sleep and had a lot of flashbacks of Sarah giving birth to baby Victoria, and he sat up straight in bed awakened by them. Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) by his side in bed, wanted to know what was wrong. Meanwhile, back at the Pub, Brady told Justin what Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) had said-Justin asked if Victor had said anything about the will.

Brady told him no, but Konstantin did say Victor talked about a letter. Then he told Justin about Theresa having stalked him and followed him to Greece.

At Alex’s place, he asked Theresa what happened in Greece – she reminded him they had sex. She said he must always avoid women he had sex with and he said he wasn’t avoiding her, he was just exhausted on the plane trip home. She accused him of having sex with her only because he felt sorry for her. Back with Xander and Chloe, he said he was having a dream that’s all – Chloe knew he was upset about Victor and Maggie. Xander told her the dream was about Sarah, and that her having a baby made him realize something about himself.

Back at Salem University Hospital, Maggie was visiting Sarah and baby Victoria Margaret Horton (uncast) when Sarah remarked she couldn’t wait to get back home to the mansion. Maggie gazed at her new granddaughter, oohing and ahhing over how beautiful she is – Sarah noticed a frown come up on Maggie’s face and asked, what’s that? Maggie didn’t answer, and Sarah wanted to know what’s going on.

Sarah took it that Maggie didn’t want to bother her with her problems. But she kept pushing Maggie to spill.

Back at the Titan office, Philip asked Vivian why would he work for her – she said she carried him in her womb. Philip asked, so he owes her, Vivian retorted she wanted to feel close to him again. Philip said that was a hard no, Vivian disagreed, saying that is what his father would have wanted. Philip said he didn’t know about that, but he wouldn’t want her tossing Maggie out of the mansion, and the company. He told her to give her back her job and her home; Vivian said she would-when hell freezes over!

Meanwhile, back in Sarah’s hospital room Maggie told her what had happened – that Vivian’s divorce had never been finalized from Victor and now she owned everything. Sarah was flabbergasted, she too said that can’t be what Victor wanted – Maggie told her they had launched a counter-offensive, and Brady and Alex had gone to Greece.

Back at the Pub, Justin, shocked, asked Brady, “Theresa followed you to Greece?” She never takes no for an answer. Brady told him, tell him about it – she wanted to give their relationship another shot.,

Justin asked what Brady wanted and he said he was furious with Theresa; Justin said if he’d told her not to come, no wonder. Brady told Justin then she started throwing herself at Alex – Justin was upset, he didn’t want her getting her hooks into his son! Back at Alex’s place, he asked Theresa what was she talking about – do you think I took advantage of you? Theresa responded no, she’d taken advantage of him.

Back at Xander and Chloe’s place, Xander said when he was helping Sarah give birth, Chloe was holding Sarah’s other hand and that told him something about her. There he was, helping his ex-wife in a dangerous, emotional time and Chloe wasn’t jealous. She comforted Sarah too – it impressed the hell out of him, and Chloe said he gave courage and strength to a woman scared out of her mind.

Xander had put his history aside to make Sarah feel safe, and that impressed the hell out of Chloe! Xander and Chloe said they loved each other and kissed.

Back at Alex’s place, Theresa said she gave into temptation and used him to make herself better – he didn’t mind being used, and called Brady a jerk. Theresa said the sex was great even if it was pity sex, and he reminded her she is a beautiful woman and what happened wasn’t because he felt sorry for her. Alex also reminded her he was incredibly attracted to her. Back with Brady and Justin, he told him he wasn’t going to stop Alex from dating Theresa, and Justin didn’t like her trying to use Alex to make Brady jealous. Justin said Alex was working on having healthier relationships with women in therapy, and Theresa wasn’t healthy for him.

Back at the Titan office, Philip told Vivian not to contact him again – working there was part of why he was in a mental institution. Vivian told him she wasn’t just offering him a job, she was offering him Chloe! Meanwhile, Chloe and Xander continued their conversation in bed but Chloe said they needed to get on with their day. Xander agreed – and wanted to get married that day.

At the hospital, Rex came into Sarah’s room and Sarah told Victoria Daddy was there, but the baby was asleep. Rex also wanted to get married that day, Sarah asked he wanted to get married today?

Maggie, still in the room held her tongue, but Rex said why not get married today, Maggie could officiate and he could get the license. Sarah asked her mother why she wasn’t saying anything, and wanted to know what she was thinking. Maggie said she knew she’d keep the paternity secret but she didn’t think it was right to keep the baby from Xander. Maggie felt marriage was sacred, and she couldn’t officiate this sham wedding in good conscience, although she loved the baby and Sarah – and she stormed out.

At the Titan office, Vivian asked Philip if he heard her – and he said he’s not dignifying it with a response. Vivian told him if he takes the job, he could win Chloe back – he informed her Chloe is engaged to Xander. Back with Chloe and Xander, she asked doesn’t he want food, music, dancing, guests?

Xander said he just wanted her and he didn’t have friends he could invite. Chloe asked what about Maggie – Xander said she’s got too much going on.

At the Brady Pub, Brady and Justin continued their conversation, and Justin asked if Brady wanted to be there when Maggie opened the briefcase. Brady thought Maggie deserved privacy for that moment – he told Justin not to worry about Theresa and Alex. Justin left to take the briefcase to Maggie, and left for the Horton homeplace, where she was living now with Doug and Julie. He would stay with her if she wanted him there to explain any legalese.

Back at Alex’s place, he asked Theresa if she thought this was hot too – she said yes, but she was trying not to do that anymore. She said she did self-destructive things to avoid pain. Alex could relate to that – she asked if it had been a problem for him too.

He hadn’t thought so until he moved to Salem and found out he needed to make some changes, and Theresa asked how that was going. He said pretty well, but he had a ways to go – she responded, so did she.

Then Brady called and asked her to come to the Pub – Alex told her not to let Brady talk to her the way he had last night. She thanked Alex for being there for her and said maybe they could have dinner – then she left. When she arrived, she asked Brady if he called to apologize for being an asshat; he replied he got a call that Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) had been expelled. The headmaster wouldn’t give him any details, and Theresa said he’d never been in trouble before and had no idea what the problem could be. Brady said he was going to California to get Tate, and Theresa said she was going too; Brady told her no, she wasn’t.

Back at Sarah’s hospital room, Rex hoped what Maggie said wouldn’t change Sarah’s mind, and Sarah said it wouldn’t. She loved her mom but she didn’t agree with her opinion. They all wanted Victoria to grow up happy and healthy and safe. Rex said marriage is a big deal, he was up for it.

But if she wasn’t’, he was ok if she needed more time. She saw no reason to wait, and Rex promised to be a good father – the little angel had already stolen his heart.

Back with Xander, he told Chloe that his family hated him and since Chloe’s parents were too busy to come, maybe they could go to New York for their honeymoon. That way they could visit them, then he had a better idea – and said let’s get married in New York. Meanwhile, at Titan, Vivian exclaimed to Philip, “You’re losing the love of your life to that Neanderthal?” Philip said he did terrible things before to try and keep Chloe, and Vivian said they were getting off track. She was talking about him and Chloe, and reiterated if Philip took the job, she’d help him get Chloe back.

Back at the hotel, Xander asked Chloe what she thought of his idea – she said it was crazy and impulsive, and how could it be possible? She raced out to the Square, telling Xander she was buying a wedding dress! Back at Titan, Vivian ragged on Philip for being a timid little boy and it was time he grew up and be a man; Philip said, excuse me?

Vivian ragged on him some more, telling him he should become a superstar and show Chloe he was better than Xander; Philip said he was done! He wasn’t afraid anymore, he wasn’t her son, and he advised her to call his doctors and find out if they had room for her!

Back at the Pub, Brady argued he didn’t want Theresa on the trip to California because he didn’t want her involved. Theresa argued she’s Tate’s mother, and Brady clapped back, saying first she stalked him to Greece. Theresa asked if he really thought she got Tate expelled so she could sit next to Brady on a plane, she’d been raising Tate alone all these years! Brady apologized and said she’d been a good mother to Tate and a good daughter to Kim Donovan (Patsy Pease). He admitted he was hard on her and said he’d pay her hotel costs – she said let’s just focus on Tate.

Alex showed up at Titan, wanting to know what the hell Vivian wanted – she offered him the job of being her right hand man, telling him he was her first choice. Back at the Horton homeplace, Maggie asked Justin if he was sure this was from Victor. He said he’d give her privacy if she wanted, and she asked what if there’s something horrible in there?

Justin told Maggie she didn’t have to open it if she didn’t want to, but Maggie said Vivian was wreaking havoc over Victor destroying his will. She had to find out why – she opened the briefcase and found under the letters an envelope containing Victor’s new will!

Back at the hospital, Sarah was thinking about what Maggie said when Xander showed up. At the same time, Philip saw Rex racing through the square and asked what the hurry was, and Rex told him he and Sarah were getting married. They sat down at a table, and Philip congratulated him, asking if he’d told Kate Brady (Lauren Koslow) the news yet – he hadn’t. Rex said he felt guilty because he’d lied about the paternity, and Chloe walked up just as he told Philip Xander was the baby’s father!
