Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 15, reveals that Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) was about to light up a joint to calm herself when Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) appeared.
Holly was able to conceal what she was doing and filled Johnny in on Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) making a move while her mom was missing.
Johnny had questions, so Holly offered updates on the dropped call and how Nicole Walker-DiMera (Arianne Zucker) might’ve been involved in an accident.
Holly eventually got a text from Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) about Nicole’s crash, the baby’s birth and her hospitalization.
Johnny and Holly took off to check on Nicole at the hospital as a result.
At home on Wednesday’s Days episode, Eric told Sloan Petersen-Brady (Jessica Serfaty) about Nicole’s baby being born on the same night as the baby that was being adopted.
Sloan played dumb and acted like Nicole must be over the moon along with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), but Eric explained about the car accident and how Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) was supposed to take the baby to the hospital.
At the police station on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) pushed Dimitri to save himself as they talked over the phone, but Dimitri hated the idea of leaving without him.
In Nicole’s hospital room, she cried to EJ about their missing baby boy since there was no sign of him in the building.
EJ eventually wound up at the Salem PD, where he joined Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Leo in the interrogation room.
Leo refused to turn against Dimitri during his interrogation with Rafe, but then EJ manhandled him and tossed threats around.
Although EJ wanted answers about where Dimitri took the baby, Leo thought this must be some misunderstanding and didn’t think his boyfriend would use an innocent child as leverage.
Meanwhile, Dimitri got Sloan on the phone and said he couldn’t leave town without making sure Leo was taken care of.
Sloan pointed out how hard it was to get payment out of Leo the last time she represented him, but Dimitri promised it’d be different this time.
After Dimitri begged Sloan to help Leo, she pushed Dimitri to get out of town and suggested she’d get Leo acquitted so that he could join his lover.
Once Dimitri felt certain that the Leo situation was handled, he called Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) and learned it was now or never on the submarine.
Dimitri told Dr. Rolf not to leave without him and somberly declared a goodbye to Leo into the night air.
When Sloan arrived at the Salem PD, she shut down all the questions being thrown at Leo and met with him privately.
Leo learned Dimitri had likely left town by now, so he acted like that was good news despite his broken heart.
Although it was too late to get Leo arraigned tonight, Sloan offered reassurance about getting him out of his jam.
Over with Melinda Trask (Tina Huang), she met with Dr. Pierce (Steve Mize) and threw enough money at him to make him part of the scheme.
Dr. Pierce gave Nicole’s baby a clean bill of health, but Melinda pointed out that they needed to make the parents believe otherwise.
Dr. Pierce would be helping another happy couple get a baby, so Melinda urged him to think of that.
Once Dr. Pierce got on board, he made his way to the hospital where Nicole was with EJ, Holly and Johnny.
Dr. Pierce acted like there’d been some confusion and that Nicole’s baby had arrived there earlier after all.
Nicole and EJ were devastated to find out that the baby supposedly suffered internal injuries and didn’t make it. Dr. Pierce pulled out the blanket that the baby had been wrapped in as proof of Dimitri’s dropoff.
Nicole ended up sobbing in EJ’s arms later as they tried to wrap their heads around the situation going so horribly wrong.
Back with Melinda on Wednesday’s Days episode, she held the baby and talked about making sacrifices to do what was best for him.
Melinda thought back to when she gave up Haley Chen (Thia Megia) so that she could be raised by her parents.
That was for Haley’s own good, so Melinda acted like she was just doing what was best for this baby now.
Melinda’s phone call also interrupted Sloan’s legal meeting with Leo to let her know that things going according to plan.
At the townhouse on Wednesday’s Days episode, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) was overjoyed when Eric revealed that his adoptive son would be coming any day now.
Eric also got a call from Holly, who stunned Eric by revealing that her mom’s baby didn’t survive.
