Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) will try to move on with his life now that Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) has chosen Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). Although Alex will remain in Chad and Stephanie’s orbit, he doesn’t plan to stalk Stephanie and pester her for another chance.
Of course, that means Alex will seek comfort elsewhere.
There’ll be some sizzling moments between Alex and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), but Days will mostly use the situation to blow things up between Allie and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens).
Meanwhile, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) will be on the rebound when she pushes Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) to hook up with her.
Since Sarah doesn’t really love Rex and will be using her ex for revenge on Xander Cook (Paul Telfer), they obviously aren’t a good match.
At some point, Days writers might want to try a fresh pairing. Now that Alex and Sarah are both single, they have the potential to become a hot new couple.
On DOOL’s February 2 episode, Alex opened up to Sarah about his Stephanie troubles and had a nice vibe with her.
You could argue that Sarah and Alex passed the chemistry test if that’s indeed what Days was going for.
Even if Alex and Sarah don’t become a long-term pairing to root for, they could at least become hookup buddies and seek comfort in bed together.
Sarah and Alex will both be spinning out after their breakups, so they might as well keep spinning out with each other.
However, it’s possible a casual arrangement could develop into something more – like what seems to be happening between Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan).
Now that Sarah and Alex are both battling heartbreak, maybe they’ll lean on each other in their time of need.
Alex and Sarah might make some positive updates to their lives by moving on together in some way.
It’d be fun to see where a Sarah and Alex pairing might lead, especially since Xander would hate seeing Sarah with another member of the Kiriakis family.
Regardless, Alex and Sarah may need a new love interest option once their brief next chapters with Rex and Allie fizzle.
