Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 13, reveals that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) burst in Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and Harris Michaels’ (Steve Burton) motel room with an officer, but Harris and Ava had already taken off.
Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) stumbled in hoping he could serve as backup, but Rafe could tell he was drunk and warned him to get his act together.
When Shawn got belligerent, Rafe manhandled him and got his officer to take him home since he was too drunk to drive.
In the town square on Wednesday’s Days episode, Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian) ran into Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison) and thanked her since all her second chances started with her lawyer’s help.
Belle noticed the flowers Talia was holding and was glad to hear that things were going well between Talia and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens).
What Happened on DOOL September 13, 2013 Days of Our Lives Episode?
Talia admitted she was debating whether to wait until Chanel called her back or go surprise her, so Belle voted for the surprise. After Talia handed Belle a rose to give to Shawn, she headed to Chanel’s apartment.
Once Shawn argued with the officer who was supposed to take him home, Belle intervened and said she could take it from here.
Shawn wound up having a public fight with Belle, who hinted that maybe it was time to talk about a rehab facility.
Shawn ranted about Belle wanting to put him in a mental institution and threw her past cheating mistakes in her face. After Shawn said he wanted to go somewhere without judgment, he stomped off.
Belle couldn’t catch up with Shawn, so she left him a concerned voicemail and looked deep in thought.
At home on Wednesday’s Days episode, Chanel assured Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) that she wanted to be with him, but she also needed to let Talia down gently since she was vulnerable right now.
When Talia showed up, Johnny made himself scarce so Chanel could speak to her alone. Talia got updates on Johnny confessing his feelings for Chanel, who admitted she didn’t shut him down.
After Chanel confirmed she wanted to give her relationship with Johnny another try, she suggested things might’ve been different with Talia if they’d had better timing.
Talia insisted she didn’t need a pep talk and wished she’d never told Chanel how she felt about her. Chanel was upset as Talia rushed out of the apartment in tears.
At the pub on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Talia was drowning her sorrows when Shawn showed up. After Shawn saw Talia drinking alone, he asked if he could join her.
Later, Johnny was pleased when Chanel showed up at the DiMera mansion, so he opened the door and smiled at her.
At the hospital, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) pushed Joyce (Sarafina King) the hitwoman to confess who sent her to take out Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), but Joyce stuck to her story about being a nurse even though it could be disproven.
Joyce claimed she didn’t know Ava, but Jada called Joyce’s attention to the burner phone that was now in evidence. It had messages from an unknown number asking if Ava was out of the picture yet.
Jada urged Joyce to cut a deal by selling out the person who hired her, but EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) showed up and shut down the interrogation. EJ claimed he saw Joyce on the news and wanted to help her since he was an attorney.
Jada was understandably skeptical, but Joyce pretended she’d never met EJ before and accepted his offer of legal representation.
Once EJ was alone with Joyce, he assured her that she made the right decision to trust him. EJ demanded to know why Ava was still alive, so Joyce explained how Harris got in the way.
Although the setback was unfortunate for EJ, he made it clear that he was still on a mission to take Ava out and that Harris wouldn’t stop him.
Back with Jada on Wednesday’s Days episode, she told Rafe about EJ swooping in and making sure Joyce kept her mouth shut. Rafe also admitted to Jada that he hadn’t been able to track down Ava and Harris yet.
When Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) returned home with Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace), he was stunned to see Ava and Harris in his room. After climbing up the fire escape, Harris had jimmied the window open so they could get inside.
Wendy joined Tripp as Ava talked about acting in self-defense against EJ’s hitwoman. Ava also explained the Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) visions and why they needed to get to London.
The goal was to prove Susan survived since it was the only way to get EJ off Ava’s back.
Since it’d take too long for Harris’ connections to come through with fake passports, Wendy offered to make some since she had experience making fake IDs.
All Wendy needed was a couple of real passports she could doctor, so she used Tripp’s as well as her own.
Wendy took pics of Ava and Harris before working on the rest of the passports, so Ava and Harris were amazed over how good the fakes were.
After Harris and Ava thanked Wendy, it was time to say their goodbyes.
Once Tripp hugged his mom, he assured Ava that he’d tell the cops he couldn’t stop her from leaving and didn’t know where she went.
Ava and Harris left through the window again, so they found themselves ready for the next phase of their journey together.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Harris and Ava’s trip to London will come with some curveballs, so stay tuned to DOOL.
