In tonight’s FBI Most Wanted episode, an anchorwoman was murdered outside of her studio. Her name was Lauren Baxter. She was walking out to her car when a masked man pulled a gun on her and demanded her laptop. Lauren tried to fight back.

She was unfortunately killed in the struggle, but it doesn’t look like her killer intended to kill her. He just wanted her laptop. He actually freaked out after she died. There was security footage of the whole thing and Remy and his team were brought in to investigate. The leading theory was that her killer knew her.

The guy targeted Lauren in spite of being right outside the studio. She also parked in a well lit area of the parking lot and it doesn’t make sense that someone would randomly rob her when they were far easier targets. Hence the theory. This was the leading theory until they talked to Lauren’s husband.

Josh said his wife had a stalker. There was a man who randomly called Lauren. He sent letters. He begged Lauren to leave her husband and come be with him. He also got mad after Lauren blocked him.

Someone unscrewed the bolts on Lauren’s tires. Her husband figured it was the stalker. The FBI went looking for this man and they identified him as Harry Watt.

Watt had never met Lauren. He watched her show and became obsessed with her. Watt also fired at the FBI when they went to go talk to him. Watt escaped only he wasn’t Lauren’s killer. Watt was stalking several well-known women. He actually rented a boat to stalk one of his victims and so he has an alibi for Lauren’s murder.

Their real killer was Miles Maddox. Maddox went on to kill someone else. He wanted Lauren’s laptop because she did a story on big pharma and he wanted her contacts. He wanted names of people in Tredate Pharmaceuticals. Maddox left behind his fingerprints at his second victim’s home.

They identified him from that because he was a math teacher. Teachers have to get fingerprinted to be around children. Maddox also had lupus. This was important because it was his motive. He survived on a drug called “effercil” until Tredate Pharmaceuticals raised the price by three hundred percent for this life saving drug.

Maddox along with his wife who also shared the disease now couldn’t afford this medication. They didn’t make enough money and their insurance wasn’t that good. Then the billionaire that owns the company in charge of setting the price had gone on tv to do an interview with Lauren. Lauren focused on his charitable work in Africa. She never once questioned him on the price hike or the lives he was jeopardizing. Only Lauren kept certain information in her laptop. Its why Maddox wanted it so much. Or so his wife claimed.

The FBI went to Maddox’s home to question his wife. They saw this huge bruise on Savannah’s cheek. She said that her husband gave it to her. She claims that he became a different person after the price hike and that she never thought he’d kill someone. Only that had been a lie. Savannah was working with him. They later found out that Maddox had returned to their house. He picked up Savannah and the security footage from their neighbor’s yard also indicated that Savannah’s bruise had been fake.

She played them in order to buy time for her husband. The FBI figured out they were playing Bonnie and Clyde. They went digging through their lives. They found out that Savannah was willing to do anything for her husband. She grew up with parents that weren’t emotionally equipped to handle a chronically sick child. She latched onto Maddox because he was the only one willing to give her all the love she needed. It didn’t matter that they both had lupus or that they weren’t rich. They were just happy.

The couple didn’t even mind that they were technically brother and sister. They submitted their DNA to one of those ancestry sites after they were married and they found out they have over forty siblings. Including each other. Savannah and Maddox didn’t want to give up what they had. They stopped trying for children. They even lied about why they were doing all of this. They weren’t getting revenge at Tredate. Most of the siblings were already dying from their lupus. They all had the disease and their parents all were supposed to use a different sperm donor except the fertility doctor that treated their mothers had used his own sperm.

This was back in the 1980s. Dr. Gregory Scanlon didn’t have to worry about fertility clinic regulations or that he was passing his lupus onto every one of his children. He was a classic narcissist. Lauren was doing a story on him. She had an eyewitness to what he did and unfortunately that person backed out before they could go ahead with the story. The story died without the witness only his children still wanted justice. None of their parents consented to using Scanlon’s sperm.

Sperm is usually not collected from anyone with a genetic disease. But Scanlon got off on impregnating women. He used his clinic for his sick fantasies. His children now wanted their revenge for that. The second victim was the eyewitness that backed out. She saw Scanlon collecting his own DNA a week after he opened his clinic, but she never reported it. He convinced her not to. He kept doing what he did and she never told anyone until Lauren was doing her story. And so lupus changed everything for this one couple.

They found out they were related. They contacted their other siblings. They got the name of the doctor that did this to all of them and they hunted him down. Savannah had gotten shot after they stole something from a bank. She hadn’t wanted her husband to get injured too. She abandoned him at a gas station where he was later arrested. And she went to go murder their father. FBI found her torturing Scanlon and they told her that she was pregnant. They got her blood from a previous scene.

It turns out she was having a baby. An incest baby who will most likely have lupus. And so Savannah turned herself in rather than go out in a blaze of glory, but they also arrested Scanlon because he continued fathering children though his new clinic even into modern day. And what he did was fraud.

THE END!
