General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will have a lot to think about once he finds out Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) has kept a huge secret for decades. Since secrets are the very thing that broke up Curtis’ marriage to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), Portia had better brace for a crushing blow.
Jordan warned Portia to come clean before she tied the knot.
In Jordan’s opinion, it was the only way Portia could give herself a fighting chance of getting past this lie and moving forward with Curtis.
Although Portia was tempted to spill the truth about Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) potentially being Curtis’ biological daughter, she stayed tight-lipped in the end.
Portia exchanged vows with Curtis, but their foundation is now flawed due to her deception.
Curtis didn’t have all the facts when he married Portia, who robbed him of an opportunity to raise Trina if she’s indeed his flesh and blood.
When Portia resurfaced in Port Charles many years later, she lied right to Curtis’ face and acted certain about Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) being Trina’s bio dad.
As Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) pointed out, Portia could’ve come clean at any moment throughout this engagement.
Once Portia fell for Curtis again and realized they’d be building a life together, that would’ve been a good time to confess.
However, Portia didn’t do that and now she’s stuck in quite a predicament. Did Portia just doom her marriage like Jordan suggested she would?
Curtis has a hot temper, so he’ll inevitably fly off the handle once the potential paternity news hits hard.
Since Portia kept piling on the lies for so long, Curtis may wonder if he even knows his wife at this point.
That could lead to Curtis demanding an annulment, which is only fair considering he divorced Jordan over her own secrets.
Curtis may push Portia away and act like he can’t honor his commitment now that she’s tainted things between them.
Of course, that doesn’t mean Curtis would actually go through with the annulment once he cooled off.
That’s especially true if Portia ends up pregnant since they’ve talked about the possibility of babies so much.
Nevertheless, Curtis’ knee-jerk reaction may be to dump Portia and demand an annulment.
GH writers may make Portia fear her marriage is over for a while, even if it might be salvaged later on.
