The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 30, reveals that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) wrapped up her tense conversation with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) before complaining to Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) about Steffy being up to her old tricks.
Hope explained that Steffy misinterpreted her celebration with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) at the office and turned it into some intimate moment.
Brooke was shocked to learn Steffy took her concerns to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and planted seeds of doubt behind Hope’s back.
Of course, Brooke had to ask if there was any validity to Steffy’s accusations, but Hope repeatedly denied that she wanted anything more than being coparents, coworkers and friends with Thomas.
That said, Hope eventually admitted she was human and hinted that she did feel a little something.
After Hope pointed out that thoughts and desires were OK as long as you don’t act on them, Brooke insisted desires could be dangerous.
Hope disagreed since she’d never cross the line and just wished Steffy had kept her big mouth shut.
After Hope refused to let anyone – including herself – destroy her relationship, she called Liam the love of her life.
In the CEO office, Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) brought Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) his favorite takeout dish from Il Giardino, but she declined his offer to eat together since she already ate with Brooke.
Ridge implied Taylor wasn’t allowed to eat with him because of the pact, but she suggested she could as long as it wasn’t a date.
When Ridge wondered what would be considered a date, Taylor got flirty and talked about eye contact, racing minds and pounding hearts.
It looked like Taylor might kiss Ridge for a moment, but she pulled back before their lips actually met and teased him about being the one to pay for a date.
Ridge guessed that almost kiss was the most action he was going to get and thought it sounded like Taylor was done with him.
Taylor said she was, but she still thought about all the wonderful times they’d shared.
After Taylor noted that she was proud of their kids, she added that she was proud of them as Steffy and Thomas’ parents. Taylor started to say she wished something, but she ultimately hesitated.
Ridge pushed Taylor to continue, so she talked about having a disagreement with Brooke and worried Brooke hadn’t been honest regarding their pact.
Taylor asked if Brooke had done anything to go against it, so Ridge flashed back to his kiss with Brooke at Christmas and the cozy moment he shared with her following the canceled family dinner.
When Ridge struggled to answer Taylor’s question, she assumed she was right.
Before Ridge could explain, Charlie Webber (Dick Christie) showed up with his passport and hoped to join the Italy trip, but Ridge insisted they needed him to stay for inventory.
Afterward, Steffy gave Taylor and Ridge updates on Hope’s apparent feelings for Thomas.
Once Ridge and Taylor found out Steffy spilled to Liam, Steffy assured them that she wasn’t trying to cause trouble in Hope’s marriage.
Taylor knew Steffy was just looking out for Thomas and said whatever happened now was up to Hope.
Ridge worried about the timing of this news since Hope and Thomas were about to go on a Hope for the Future trip to Rome.
As Hope privately thought back to Steffy’s accusations, she left Liam a voicemail to let him know that she loved him and was thinking of him.
Next on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Taylor reminisced about her Monaco kiss with Ridge before Brooke barged in her office.
Brooke confirmed that Taylor knew about Steffy’s latest move before insisting Hope would never cheat on Liam.
After Brooke brought up how hard they’d worked for this friendship, she pushed Taylor to tell Steffy to take back every word since this was unfair.
Brooke declared that Hope loved her family very much, so she refused to let Steffy come between Hope and Liam.
