The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) may have a backup plan in the works. Although Cameron suffered a grim fate when Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) plunged that knife, that doesn’t mean his reign of terror is finished.
Cameron was a truly evil man who always seemed to have another trick up his sleeve.
We’re talking about someone who was obsessed with Sharon for years, so this guy had plenty of time to plot exactly what he wanted and prepare for every possible outcome.
With that in mind, it’s reasonable to assume Cameron had a plan in case he failed completely.
Cameron had no chance of winning Sharon over romantically, but his attempt at revenge didn’t pan out in the sewer either.
Y&R fans will recall that Cameron tried to force Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to choose between Sharon’s life and Faith Newman’s (Reylynn Caster) life, but Sharon got the upper hand and stabbed him to death first.
Cameron must’ve known there was a possibility that he wouldn’t get Sharon back and that he wouldn’t get vengeance.
Maybe Cameron left instructions in the hands of an equally sinister associate – perhaps another ex-con who’s just as dangerous and willing to help.
It would’ve been easy for Cameron to leave behind orders to do something sick and twisted to Sharon, Nick, Faith and anyone else they’re connected to.
Cameron could still pull off revenge from beyond the grave if that’s the case.
“But Cameron’s gone, Faith is fine and it’s all good news from here,” Sharon says in the June 20 episode.
It’s part of Sharon’s attempt to convince Nick that they’re safe and that the nightmare’s over.
Nick replies that he hopes Sharon’s right as ominous music plays, so that doesn’t exactly give us a great feeling about what else Y&R might have in store!
Since Cameron obviously loved explosives, he might’ve arranged for a much bigger bomb to detonate – perhaps at the next major party or gathering in town.
Then again, maybe Cameron dreamed up some other way to torment Sharon and her loved ones.
Who really knows what Cameron’s demented mind came up with before his demise?
Regardless, the show’s offering hinds that another Cameron-related storm could be looming, so stay tuned for updates on what might be ahead.
