The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will play with fire when she goes after Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). The goal will be to steal something of value from Nikki and prove to Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) that Diane is shady enough to scheme with him again.
Of course, Diane just needs to convince Jeremy that she can be trusted.
Jeremy is understandably paranoid after everything that’s gone down, so he doesn’t want to be a sucker.
That’s why Diane will be willing to take such a huge risk and report back to Jeremy with evidence that she can still play dirty.
Diane will hope to show Jeremy that he can count on her, so she’ll do it by gambling with her freedom.
It’s easy to see how a plan like this could end in disaster, especially when someone who hates Diane’s guts is the target.
This wouldn’t be much of a story if Diane pulled the plan off perfectly, so it’s bound to go horribly wrong.
There’s a good chance Diane will get busted after she steals something significant from Nikki.
This could lead to Diane’s arrest if she’s not careful, especially since Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) is so fed up with all her mother-in-law’s mayhem.
Summer may push Nikki to press charges once Diane gets caught with sticky fingers.
Perhaps Summer will feel like the best thing for her family – especially Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) – is for Diane to land behind bars.
At least then Summer, Harrison and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) would be free from dangerous Jeremy drama.
Summer just wants everything to be over, so she may count on Nikki to help lock Diane up – even if that means breaking Kyle’s heart.
On the flip side, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is Nikki’s friend and might push her to let Diane off the hook.
If that doesn’t work, Jack might even try to take the blame for Diane.
Since Jack knows Diane doesn’t want to be a thief, he’ll inevitably try to wiggle her out of trouble.
Nevertheless, things are going to get complicated, so Diane may live to regret stealing from none other than Nikki Newman!
Y&R spoilers hint that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will get updates and do some investigating, so Diane and Jack will have to deal with quite a mess.
