Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) is Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) real father. However, everyone believes that Alex is Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) secret son.
Justin has made it clear that a paternity test doesn’t change their history or relationship. Unfortunately, Alex hasn’t been treating Justin very well lately.
Even before the truth comes out, could Justin and Alex share a bonding moment that reminds everyone that paternity tests have very little to do with family or love.
Victor Kiriakis’ Secret Son
DOOL spoilers reveal that right around the time of Theresa Donovan’s (Emily O’Brien) return and Konstantin Meleounis’ (John Kapelos) scheme, Alex found out he was Victor’s secret son. Everyone was stunned, including Justin as well as Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers).
Fans know that Alex isn’t really Victor’s secret son. There is one but that person is supposed to be Xander Cook (Paul Telfer), not Alex. In any case, the damaging scheme has turned multiple characters lives upside down.
In the meantime, Theresa is still getting cozy with Alex but the situation with Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) has her leaning on Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) as well.
DOOL Spoilers: Alex Kiriakis’ Confusion
After Alex heard he was Victor’s secret son, he became confused and angry. Alex felt that his entire life was a lie. Alex tried to channel Victor in his business dealings, but that didn’t go over so well.
Now Alex is trying to be supportive of Theresa as she deals with Tate’s legal crisis. Alex keeps making all the wrong decisions, though.
In fact, there was a scene in which Alex watched Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) play with his young son, Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher). Alex watched for a few moments and wistfully leaned his head against the brick wall.
It was clear from Alex’s facial expression, body language, and watered-up eyes that he was thinking about his own childhood with Justin.
Justin Kiriakis’ Gentle Reminder
Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Alex treated Justin horribly after Tate’s bail was revoked. Alex yelled at Justin, fired him from Tate’s case, and downplayed the hard work the lawyer was doing on the teenager’s behalf.
Justin was just as blindsided by EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) bail move as everyone else.
However, Alex wasn’t willing to give Justin the time to see if he could fix it. Thankfully, Brady and Theresa reminded Alex that they are Tate’s parents and in charge of his lawyer.
Then, in the Days episode that aired on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, Justin had good news about Tate’s case. Justin was able to get Tate transferred from jail to a rehab facility for minors.
At that time, Alex realized the things he said about Justin’s work ethic were completely wrong.
Justin looked at his son in the police station and reminded him he would always be there for him. It was a touching moment, but it was sad too. The pain in Justin’s eyes as well as Alex’s were clear.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Father/Son Moment
Alex is too prideful to really tell Justin how he feels. Alex and Justin are father and son, but netiher can get past those darn paternity tests.
It would be just like the soap to remind Alex that he does have a father. Alex never lost his father. Being a parent is a lot more than just genetics.
Perhaps Justin will show that to Alex one day by stepping in to save his life. With the Salem drug crisis spiraling out of control, Alex might end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, just like Tate.
If Justin steps in and saves Alex, it just might make the confused young man realize his father was right there all along.
Of course, in typical soap fashion, the writers would probably have Justin and Alex learn the truth about the paternity results but only after the bonding moment.
Soaps are full of drama, but these heartwarming moments should also be celebrated.
