Julie Chen, host of Big Brother, recently confirmed to Us Weekly that she believes the celebrity edition of the reality television series will be coming back. During CBS’s Fall Schedule Celebration event, she noted, “I believe it’s coming back,” and it would be opposite of the Winter Olympics.
While the regular Big Brother always airs during the summer, the celebrity spinoff takes place in the wintertime, generally in February. Season 1 premiered in February 2018, scheduled to counterprogram that year’s Winter Olympics. There have been three seasons of Celebrity Big Brother since, with the last one airing in 2022.

If Celebrity Big Brother returns during the next Winter Olympics, then fans can expect to see it come back in February 2026. While that seems like a long way ahead, that didn’t stop Chen from revealing her “wish list” cast.
Chen notes that Martha Stewart, Kim Kardashian, Snoop Dog, RuPaul, and Tom Brady all land on her “dream” Celebrity Big Brother list. That would certainly make for an interesting season, right?

With that being said, would Julie ever entertain the idea of jumping into the game at any point? She’s celebrity herself, after all!
Chen makes it clear to Us Weekly that becoming a contestant herself is a hard no, as she would be “terrible” and “embarrass” herself. She also admits she’d be “too trusting” and “too truthful”, and she wouldn’t fare well in physical challenges.
Celebrity Big Brother seasons feature about 11 to 12 “stars” in the land of acting, music, and professional sports, politicians – among other professions – to compete in the reality TV challenge to win $250,000.
Past participants have included, Chuck Liddell (UFC fighter), Shannon Elizabeth (actress), Lamar Odom (former NBA Player), Cynthia Bailey (model), Shanna Moakler (former Miss USA) – just to name a few!
