The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that the show’s got some work to do when it comes to rebooting Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), but that indeed seems to be the plan. Liam’s admission in the April 10 episode seemed like a nice start when it comes to resetting the character.
There’s been a lot of talk about Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) redemption on the show, but Liam needs a redemption story just as much!
Liam may not have gone off the rails quite like Thomas did, but he’s done damage in other ways.
B&B made a serious mistake by having Liam bounce back and forth between Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) so much over the years.
It was tough to root for Liam to be with Hope when we all knew he could flip-flop over to Steffy the second things got hard.
Hope deserves better than that, so it’s no wonder that she was drawn to Thomas’ devotion.
Of course, Steffy deserves better than Liam’s torn heart, too. Now that Steffy has found a loyal man in John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), why on earth would she ever want to get back together with a heartbreaker like Liam?
The show has destroyed Liam’s character to the point that he’s no longer a viable love interest, so it’s time for a fresh start.
Liam has earned all the criticism he’s received online, so it was great to see him acknowledge that he’s “guilty as charged” when it comes to the waffling accusations.
After Liam told Steffy that he’d been doing some soul-searching and asking himself difficult questions, he confessed that he wasn’t the kind of man he’d want for Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) or Beth Spencer (Jordyn Lynn Ariza) when they’re old enough.
Liam needs to be setting a better example for his daughters as they grow up.
Beth and Kelly might start thinking it’s OK to let a guy treat you like you can easily be traded for a backup girlfriend, so something needs to change.
That’s why Liam has decided to work on himself and perhaps focus on being a dad for a while. It seems like an excellent plan that could hopefully help Liam leave his waffling past behind him.
Could this lead to Liam being paired with a new love interest down the road? Is all of this a way to fix Liam’s relationship with Hope instead?
Whatever the case, our predictions point to Liam hopefully becoming a new-and-improved version of himself sooner or later.
