The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, August 19, reveal that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will mention Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) recent declaration in the park. Since Chelsea was talking about the tension and guilt of that one night, Sally will know something happened to feel tense and guilty about!
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will try to talk his way out of trouble as usual, but that isn’t going to work this time.
Sally didn’t want to buy all Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) paranoia at first, but now she’ll realize she should’ve paid more attention to the warning signs.
Since Adam’s explanation about lashing out at Chelsea never made much sense, Sally may bring that up.
It all comes down to that fateful night in Baltimore, but Sally will have a strong hunch that Adam did more than have an unfair outburst.
Adam may make vague excuses and push Sally to just let this go, but she won’t be willing to do that.
Instead, Sally will keep pushing and will ultimately ask for a yes or no answer on whether Adam slept with Chelsea.
There’s a good chance Adam will finally admit he got caught up in the moment and hit the sheets with Chelsea.
Despite Adam’s attempts to downplay it as nothing, this revelation should hit Sally hard and may convince her to dump him.
At the coffeehouse, Chelsea will go through a similar experience with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), who’ll have a pretty good idea about what went down in that hotel room and will want the whole story.
In the end, Chelsea seems poised to make a weepy confession and apologize profusely.
Although Chelsea never meant to let passion erupt with Adam, they were craving comfort and connection due to Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) crisis.
Even so, that may not be a good enough excuse for Billy, who might push for some time to think on his own.
Billy has seen the growing bond between Adam and Chelsea for himself, so he’ll have to decide whether this cheating confirmation is a dealbreaker.
Based on our Y&R predictions, Billy and Sally could be headed in each other’s direction romantically, so we’ll pass along updates on whether they might have a fling or something more.
