Beyond the Gates spoilers for Thursday, July 17 reveal that Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) will be given dark news, while Nicole Richardson (Daphnee Duplaix) digs for information, and Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) will feel lost in the aftermath of his secret reveal.
In fact, despite finally coming clean to Smitty during the Wednesday, July 16 episode, it sounds like Martin will still get booted out of the family home.
As not many know about his traumatic night two years ago, it sounds like his grandparents, Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) and Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie), will open up their home to him.
Martin will feel defeated and distraught, so both Vernon and Anita will offer a shoulder for him to lean on.
Speaking of Smitty, BTG spoilers imply that Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) will be by to inform his cousin-in-law about some grave news.
From the looks of it, Jacob may let Smitty know about Kenny’s (Jason Vendryes) demise; however, Martin already told Smitty about this during the July 16 episode when he spilled the beans to his husband about the secret he had been hiding for two years.
Kenny and his brother approached Vernon and Martin’s car two years back when the men experienced a flat tire on the way home from a political gathering.
Kenny and his brother tried to lay their hands on Vernon, but Martin stepped in.
In an act of self-defence, filled with a bit of adrenaline and rage, Martin beat Kenny’s brother to the point of no return and hurt Kenny so severely that he required plastic surgery.
Of course, it was Martin’s dad, Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson), who had performed Kenny’s facial reconstruction surgery, which was why he looked so different from the flashback that was shown.
Smitty reeled from the news and threat of Kenny, and this is when Martin let his hubby know he was no longer a danger, as Kenny had passed.
As Jacob had been working so closely with Smitty for weeks to uncover the truth behind this mystery, will Smitty fill his friend in on the secret?
