The Dupree family enjoyed a karaoke night at Uptown during the Monday, April 21 episode.
In fact, Anita hopped on stage to do a cute performance along with daughter Dani and granddaughter Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit).
Anita was initially worried about doing the impromptu song and dance routine, because at the end of the day, if she flopped and someone recorded it, this could be a dangerous thing for her image.
She’s long out of the singing business, but she cares about her reputation.
In this day and age, with social media, one bad video could go viral, and the embarrassment may be too much for Anita.
Still, she went up on stage after some coaxing by Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) and the rest of the family and killed it.
Could someone offer her a gig – or better yet, a new singing contract?
Speaking of Dani, she’s mulling over the idea of starting a fresh chapter in life by launching a modeling agency with BFF Pamela Curtis (Cady McClain).

This might be especially true if Dani wants to recruit Samantha Richardson (Najah Jackson) to her new agency.
Beyond the Gates spoilers indicate that Chelsea and Katherine “Kat” Richardson (Colby Muhammad) had concocted an idea to start Samantha’s modeling career off by having the teen participate in her purse brand ads.
That way, Samantha could still handle the demands of school while entertaining the idea of modeling.
Still, if Dani swings in and tries to snag her away from them with a modeling contract, this could blow some of their marketing plans out of the water.
