Days of Our Lives Next 2 Weeks: DiMera Hostages Saved, Lani Consoles JJ, Chanel’s Twist and New Year’s Eve Fun

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for the next two weeks, December 22 to January 2, reveal that the DiMera hostages will be saved while Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) consoles JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss). Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens) will also face a twist before some New Year’s Eve fun gets underway in Salem.

During the week of December 22-26, the person behind the DiMera kidnappings will be revealed.

Peter Blake (Dan Gauthier) will confess a secret, but is he actually behind the snatchings or is there another explanation?

Regardless, things will go wrong in the crypt as the hostages end up in a sudden fight to survive.

Thankfully, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) will keep searching while the captives try to find a path to freedom.

Whether this leads to an escape or a rescue, the DiMera crypt crisis will soon be resolved.

However, there’ll be some hospitalizations in the aftermath that bring more concerns.

Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) will get treatment for her infection before visiting hospitalized Peter and apologizing to him.

That could be an indicator that Kristen will be the reason for Peter’s injuries, but he won’t be in a very forgiving mood.

Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) will also wind up unconscious before he gets rushed to the hospital as well, so Abe Carver (James Reynolds) will fret by his son’s bedside soon enough.

Other Days spoilers say Tate Black (Leo Howard) will give Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) some disappointing updates.

Since it looks like Tate will have to skip their Paris trip, Holly may have a hard time concealing her disappointment.

Tate is also keeping a secret from Holly since she doesn’t know he’s on academic probation, so he may come clean about that at some point.

Over with Gwen von Leuschner (Emily O’Brien) and Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez), they’ll find common ground as they take a moment to share some mutual complaints – presumably about Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and perhaps EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), too.

Although Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) will postpone the Horton holiday festivities briefly, things will get back on track once the DiMera captives are safe.

Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will share a heartwarming reunion with Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) and Charlotte DiMera (Autumn Gendron), so they’ll all enjoy some Christmas magic this year.

Lani and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) will also get a warm welcome home since they’ll be part of the holiday excitement, too.

Later, Days spoilers say Lani will console JJ, who may be worried about Theo’s condition and the fact that they haven’t been on good terms in so long.

At Bayview, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will pay Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) a visit and leave her granddaughter thrilled to see another familiar face.

Once Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) breathes a sigh of relief over EJ’s return, he’ll catch up with his dad as the tension thaws a bit.

Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) will also extend an olive branch to Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) and try to make peace with a Christmas present.

DOOL spoilers say Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) will lock lips with Brady in the town square eventually, so Xander won’t be happy about their growing connection.

Look for Sarah to give Chanel some follow-up test results as well.

Chanel was worried that her cancer might be back, but she’s about to learn she’s pregnant instead!

Days spoilers hint that Chanel will break the news to Johnny soon, so they’ll both be overwhelmed due to the risks to Chanel’s health.

Since Johnny and Chanel are already caring for an infant, the idea of adding another kid will be pretty overwhelming, too.

Nevertheless, Johnny will offer Chanel some reassurance as they tackle all this together during the week of December 29-January 2.

As for Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord), her EJ investigation will grow increasingly complicated once he’s back following the kidnapping chaos.

Of course, New Year’s Eve is coming up in Salem, so there may be some midnight countdowns and some sweet smooches to cap off the celebratory evening.

Gabi and Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) will grow even closer, but it’s just a matter of time until it all blows up over her role in the Titan-DiMera merger crumbling.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say the next two weeks will deliver plenty of drama, so stay tuned.
