In tonight’s Fire Country episode, Finn was back out there. He was free to continue to stalk Gabriela. They went on a couple of dates and shared one kiss. It was enough for him to convince himself that she was the one.

He even started talking about a wedding after their first kiss. It was enough to put Gabriela off. She ignored the one text. It’s what set him off. He revealed his true face. He went off on a rant that he put all in text. He claimed she used him for free photos. Nevermind that it was his idea for the ride along because he wanted to get to know her.

Finn claimed she was never interested. She was just toying with him. He set a fire. He let himself be harmed so that Gabriela would come to him. She luckily figured out what he did before he hurt her and that’s when he took off. He’s been on the run ever since. The cops were involved.

They questioned his parents. They also thought the danger was over at the start of tonight. Finn maxed out his credit cards and left his car in Santa Cruz. They thought he’d head to the border or somewhere else where he couldn’t be arrested.

They were so sure of this theory that they shared it with Gabriela. She thought she was safe. She thought Finn was out of her life for good. Then they had a going away breakfast for Jake.

Jake’s friends/family were there. They told him they were going to miss him. They made jokes about taking his locker. Bode and Eve fought over who would get the bigger bedroom at the apartment. Manny was leaving the party after sharing the good news that he applied to CalFire when he spotted Finn in a new car watching the firehouse.

Manny knew that Finn was waiting for Gabriela. He called the cops. He also called Vince. Vince agreed to keep an eye on Gabriela while Manny pursued Finn or tried to.

He lost sight of him. Bode went after Finn in his own car. Finn crashed into a gas station and just kept trekking. Bode had to let him go because the gas station caught fire. Bode was nothing if not a firefighter. He did his best to pull the emergency brake to keep the fire contained. He also had the gas station attendant called 911.

The call was to alert the firehouse as well as to say Finn was last seen heading south on Skyline. With Finn back out there, Gabriela was told to stay at the Leones.

They couldn’t personally be with her. They were visiting Walter at the care home. They instead asked Audrey to be with her. Audrey just didn’t call ahead and so using a key to let herself in had scared the living daylights out of Gabriela. Gabriela has a gun. One she almost used to shoot Audrey. It’s lucky for Audrey that she waited for her to come into the house and didn’t fire willy nilly.

Audrey apologized for frightening Gabriela. Gabriela apologized for nearly killing Audrey. It’s a good thing they’re friends now or that would have been awkward.

They were together when the fire at the gas station took a turn for the worst. The oil tanks couldn’t be turned off. There was also a girl trapped inside of the store that was now on fire. Her name is Inez. She was turning eighteen. Her friends were throwing her a party because she’s the one that usually plans those for them. Her best friend Olivia went with her. Olivia hadn’t been in the store thankfully.

Only she overheard the firefighters as they responded to the scene. There was a chance that there was going to be huge explosion because of the oil tanks. She was panicking and her story touched Manny.

Manny had been the one to keep Olivia talking. He saw the photos of her with Inez. Inez looked like Gabriela at that age. Manny couldn’t let that girl die. Not after he bonded with Olivia. He hooked up the oil supply to the front of the truck and he drove it away from the store. It went off. There was an explosion. And thanks to Manny it didn’t take down the store.

It also didn’t kill Manny. Or Inez. She was rescued. They were now both safe. All because he bonded with Olivia. His real daughter was also in trouble and she didn’t realize until she talked to Audrey.

Audrey has been in a similar situation. They talked about it. Audrey could see that Gabriela was beating herself up for what Finn was doing and he was the only one to blame. Audrey knew that better than most. She mentioned that with her own situation; the guy had given her a Fitbit that she thought was sweet. She realized later that he used that to track.

Gabriela then realized that Finn had also given her a gift. He gave her a new cell phone. She turned it on and that’s when she saw that he had the phone sharing her location with him this whole time. He knew she was at the Leones. It was too late to hide. He already broke into the upstairs window.

Neither Gabriela nor Audrey heard him coming. They were too far away from the gun when Finn surprised them. He claimed he just wanted to talk. Audrey asked him they why did he bring a stun gun? Finn’s excuse for that being he didn’t know where Gabriela or if she was in danger.

He still saw himself as her protector.

Gabriela tried to tell him she was fine. She also asked that Audrey stay with them. If he just wanted to talk like he said he did, it wouldn’t matter if Audrey was in the room.

The women then tried to play him. They tried to convince him to run before the cops found him. They also tried distracting when that didn’t work so that Audrey could reach the gun. They failed to see they couldn’t mess with crazy until it was too late. Gabriela told Finn that she does care for him. She did it to distract him. He took that mean he was right. They were meant to be together.

Finn used that for justification for everything he did. Plus, what he kept doing. Finn used the stun gun to knock out Audrey. He wanted to run away with Gabriela now that she told him she has feelings for him. He was crafting this whole new life for them in his mind.

They were going to start over somewhere else and live happily ever after. He took out Audrey out because he didn’t want her to come between them anymore. He knew that Audrey didn’t like him. Gabriela was also smart enough to try and stall before she could be moved to a second location.

Gabriela checked on Audrey. She wanted to take her to the hospital. Finn spotted that she was moving towards the gun and that’s when he found out she had a gun in the first place.

Finn couldn’t believe she got one. She tried to tell him she was scared. He saw that she was scared because of him. She grabbed the gun. They fought. Finn was shot and Manny walked in right afterwards. He was coming to check on his daughter. He heard the gunshots. He came running in to see Finn dead on the ground.

Right after Manny had been offered Jake’s job at the firehouse no less. Sharon thought he should aim for captaincy. She thought he shouldn’t be starting over when he had the experience and hard earn knowledge for the job, but Manny forgot all about it when he saw the gun in Gabriela’s hand. He took the gun from her.

He emptied it. He put the weapon in his pocket and he checked on Finn. Finn wasn’t dead. He could live with proper medical attention and that’s something they didn’t have. The Zabel Ridge fire was getting out of hand.

The firefighters, the ambulances, and the EMTs were all heading towards that fire. Walter Leone was the first to spot it. He was forgetting much. He just couldn’t forget his firefighting training.

He knew that the fire in addition to the wind levels was a disaster. It was heading towards Edgewater. It was heading towards his care home. Walter tried calling his family. He got Bode. Bode injured his knee. His father had benched him from the Zabel fire because of it and so Bode was there to take Walter’s call. He went to the care home.

Walter was trying to convince the director of the place to clear the building. The guy wouldn’t listen to Walter. Walter was retired and has memory issues. It took Bode backing up his grandfather’s claims for the director listen. By then, it was too late. Walter had been right. The winds were blowing the fire into Edgewater itself.

Three Rock was on fire. The care home caught fire. Help wasn’t coming and no one at the house could perform surgery on Finn. Manny came up with the idea of just loading Finn into the back of his truck. They were going to take him to the hospital themselves.

Manny also wanted to come up with a backup plan if Finn dies. He wanted to say he shot him. Gabriela told him that she wasn’t going with that plan. Finn broke in. He attacked Audrey with a stun gun.

Gabriela had every right to shoot him. She was defending herself. Something she thought her father would understand seeing as he got her the gun in the first place. Don’t know how an ex-con got a gun legally only he gave it to Gabriela. She stood her ground. She shot someone that was stalking her.

Finn also burned his own house down to get to her. She reminded Manny of all of it. Manny pointed out that none of it mattered. The District Attorney could claim they were dating. They could claim Gabriela deliberately led Finn on to trap him.

There was so much that could go wrong. It’s why Manny didn’t want to tell the truth or let Audrey have her way. Audrey would have let Finn die at the house if it hadnt been for Manny. They were transporting Finn to the hospital when Bode lived up to the Leone name. He did something stupid.

Bode ignored an order from his father. They cleared the building before it caught on fire. Then Walter saw that his buddy didn’t make it out. Otto often forgets to put in his hearing aide. He probably did hear the alarms.

He also slept wherever he could because he wanders around sometimes. Walter went back into the building and Bode went with him. They found Otto hiding in a closet. They were getting him out when Bode’s knee gave out. Walter couldn’t carry Otto on his own. And neither of them had supplies or a way of getting out.

Walter had his old jacket. Bode has his new one. They were stupid when they went into that building. Bode’s parents thought the same. They were first on the scene. They couldn’t leave their sole surviving child to die. They gathered their actual surprise and they went after the three. They also gave Jake control of the scene.

He wants to become Battalion Chief one day. This was his chance to prove he could take on leadership. Jake was lambasting all the Leones in his head as the truth came out about Finn.

Gabriela hadn’t shot him. Audrey shot him. Gabriela dropped the guy in the fight. Finn was going to hurt her and so Audrey shot him. She aimed for his heart. She admitted as much. She wanted to kill him.

She didn’t want to give him another chance of hurting them ever again. Even now that he was shot, Finn was angry with Gabriela for her letting her friend shoot him. He was going to abduct Gabriela and he had the nerves to be angry with her. He asked Gabriela if she wanted him dead too. She told she didn’t and he doesn’t believe her. Not anymore.

They were arguing as their road to the hospital was prevented by a fire. Manny called for Jake. He asked for help. Jake couldn’t offer it because of the Leones. Sharon and Vince found Bode, Walter, and Otto.

They got him to the front door when they noticed that Walter wandered off again. Sharon and Vince gave Bode an order. They told him to take Otto to safety. They said they’d get Walter. Bode tried to do what they said. He took Otto the rest of the way out. Otto got help. Bode was then going to ignore the rest.

He wanted to arm up to go back inside. There were three members of his family inside. He refused to leave without them. Jake refused to let him go back inside. He never met a Leone that didn’t know the word “boundary”, but he was in charge of the scene. He couldn’t risk a firefighter much less an injured one going into that building.

This went double after the explosion. He was in no position to help Manny or even Eve. Eve was forced to call a retreat at Three Rock. The fire was unimaginable. Eve’s girlfriend stopped by to help in spite of their fight about having kids and it wasn’t enough.

The fire camp was gone. The prisoners were saved. Eve was safe. Her girlfriend was safe. The camp was gone and what a way for Cole to celebrate his last day. The parole board agreed to release him. His friends tried to celebrate that after they lost everything else. Manny soon realized the best path forward. He took his truck to the care home fire.

There were ambulances there. They had supplies. The sheriff’s department was also there. Audrey didn’t let either Manny or Gabriela lie for her. She told the deputies that Finn had been shot. And that she was the one that did it in self-defense.

They took her away to go question her back at the station. Bode saw them lead her away. Gabriela just kept saying it was her fault and that’s when the care home building gave away. It was collapsing in on itself. Jake and a few others had to bodily stop Bode from going after his family – he was forced to be stuck outside. To watch as his parents and grandfather might have died.

THE END!
