General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, December 22, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will get a crisis alert while Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) find themselves on a mission. Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) will also confess something, so here’s what GH fans can look forward to.
For starters, Danny and Jason will play Santa when they make a delivery of Christmas presents.
Jason and Danny will be on a mission to spread holiday cheer, so we have no doubt that they’ll accomplish it.
Things will be a little less cheerful for Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) as he worries about the family Christmas gathering he’s agreed to attend.
Gio will confide in Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and get some advice before heading off.
That’ll give Emma a chance to open up to Trina next, so she may admit she gave Gio a nudge toward making peace with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) for Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr) sake.
In reality, Emma was hoping to help Gio and Dante, too.
Now Emma may be second-guessing that decision if she’s concerned about Dante and Gio’s next blowup.
Trina may offer some reassurance and trust that it’ll all work out in the end.
At Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) place, she’ll thank Sonny and Laura for coming to her tree-trimming bash.
Lulu will admit Laura and Sonny are doing her a huge favor, but Laura won’t get what all the fuss is about.
Since Dante is hoping to patch things up with Rocco, that means letting Gio and Rocco see each other.
This will be the first big family occasion where that happens, so Lulu will be counting on Sonny and Laura to make sure Dante and Gio don’t come to blows!
After Laura and Sonny get updates on the potential for a father-son crisis, they’ll do their part to ensure this gathering is a peaceful one.
At some point, Dante will get Lulu’s reminder to be on his best behavior.
Building a bond as brothers could be good for Gio and Rocco, so Lulu won’t think Dante should interfere.
Meanwhile, Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will get their friendship back on track after their recent bump in the road, which involved Ava spilling Nina’s betrayal to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr).
Nina will apparently still trust Ava enough to admit to striking a deal with Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), who got rid of the traffic cam footage that incriminated Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen).
Even if Nina doesn’t divulge the details of what Brennan did and what she promised in return, she’ll acknowledge that she’s done worse things to rescue Willow!
However, Nina is clearly struggling with the idea of using Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) as a pawn in all this.
Charlotte admitted to Nina that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) had reached out to her, but Nina shut down any further discussion.
Nina will have to be careful about how much she shares with Brennan and could land in hot water if he suspects she’s holding back.
While Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) catches up with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) following his brief stint behind bars, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) could be next in line for some time in lockup.
At the PCPD, Britt and Brad will try to get off the hook for their dine-and-dash drama, but they could still be looking at charges and a night in jail.
Across town, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) will get news regarding Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) feelings for Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), so she’ll push him to have courage and go after what he wants.
Of course, Cody may be in for a shock when he finds out Molly saw Britt locking lips with him at Brown Dog Bar.
That was Britt’s fault for getting drunk and going too far, so let’s hope Cody can offer an explanation that makes sense to Molly.
