General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, December 29, reveals that Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) agreed to keep Scout Quartermaine’s (Cosette Abinante) secret from Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) was also offered a six-month job in Dublin, so here’s how Monday’s GH episode played out.
At Wyndemere, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) made it clear to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) that the congressman was only useful to him if he remained in office.
Willow interrupted and spoke to Drew privately about Scout being happy about her visit to Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place.
Meanwhile, Marco Rios (Adrian Ancondo) advised Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) to put on a mask when it came to Willow and avoid showing his true feelings.
Lucas did his best to keep the peace, but it wasn’t long until tension erupted in a conversation with Willow.
Drew came to Willow’s rescue before Lucas offered a reminder about saving his life after the shooting.
Lucas reconvened with Marco and hoped his boyfriend would never put on a mask when it came to him.
At one point, Marco spoke to Sidwell privately about all the distractions helping him through a tough year, including pitching in with his father’s business.
Sidwell had to keep Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) alive for the moment, but he assured Marco that Sonny was a dead man once he was finished with him.
At Alexis’ house, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) made a surprise appearance and was delighted to see Scout.
Although Danny was able to spend a little time with Scout outside in the snow, Alexis had some bad news once he came back inside.
Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) helped Alexis explain that Drew’s condition for letting Scout come over was that Danny couldn’t be there.
Danny complained a bit, but he ultimately understood Alexis was in a tight spot and took off.
Scout came back from the kitchen where Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) had been distracting her with a hot cocoa mission.
Alexis explained the situation to Scout, who agreed she’d keep Drew out of the loop on Danny’s visit.
Back with Willow, she was eager to leave Wyndemere following her confrontation with Lucas and returned to Alexis’ place to pick Scout up.
Scout got in the car with Willow and gave her updates on Danny being there today, but she didn’t want Willow to tell Drew.
Willow urged Scout not to worry and said that the secret was safe with her.
Next, Danny griped to Cody about having to follow Drew’s orders, but Cody felt he should play the long con and wait for a chance to reconnect with Scout.
As for Sidwell, he spoke to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) about her hefty end-of-the-year bonus and pushed her to dig into whether a case was being made against Drew for extortion.
Sidwell eventually reconvened with Drew, who offered reassurance about the blackmail drama not being an issue.
After Sidwell mentioned some work for Drew in Washington in the new year, Drew suggested there was still work to be done in Port Charles.
At Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) place, Kevin got off the phone and revealed that he was wanted for a six-month teaching gig at a college in Dublin.
Kevin hoped Laura would come with him, but she suggested the timing wasn’t right considering she just got reelected.
However, Laura urged Kevin to take the offer anyway.
Once Jordan showed up and spoke with Laura privately, she mentioned some personal info she’d scored regarding Sidwell.
Jordan thought they might be able to make Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) mutual interest in Sidwell work to their advantage.
Laura agreed, especially since Lucy tended to be impulsive.
Although Jordan seemed suspicious about something else going on with the mayor, Laura worked to convince her that it was all good.
Kevin spoke with Laura again after Jordan left and felt he should turn down the teaching gig in Dublin.
Laura argued that they needed to keep their options open considering the mess with Sidwell.
At Café Cherie, Sonny ran into ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) and praised her for showing compassion to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) in court.
ADA Turner pointed out that Portia still committed a crime, but Sonny defended the doc a bit.
Sonny also thanked Justine for being lenient with Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) and insisted he never forgot when someone showed kindness for his loved ones.
Justine felt there was a difference between a teenager who screwed up and someone like Sonny.
Nevertheless, Sonny talked about the gray area and suggested Justine might have to do something wrong for the sake of a loved one day, too.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) showed up with gifts for the kids, so Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) accepted them before Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) said Jacinda should stay for a nightcap.
Tracy was cordial to Jacinda, but she warned Michael about stringing her along once Jacinda was in the powder room.
Michael tried to defend his romance with Jacinda, but Tracy felt that maybe Michael was lying to himself, too.
Later, Michael spoke with Jacinda alone and admitted that Tracy thought he was taking advantage of her.
Tracy assumed their relationship would be over once the trial wrapped up, but Michael assured Jacinda that wasn’t the case.
Jacinda seemed uncertain, but Michael offered up a gorgeous, expensive bracelet as a late Christmas present.
Although Jacinda didn’t want to accept it at first, Michael put it on her and suggested it was a token of his deepening affection.
General Hospital spoilers say Jacinda and Michael are headed for disaster, so don’t miss what’s coming up!
