General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of December 15-19 suggest Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) will make a shocking return, and of course, top on his list will be to threaten Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), as she recovers from her miscarriage scare.
The ABC soap just released its weekly promo, and Brad is shown, front and center.
He arrives at Portia’s hospital door in the preview and taunts her by saying, “Knock, knock,” as he flashes a smile and walks into her room.
The doctor looks very disgruntled, to say the least. The last thing Portia needs right now is Brad hovering over her, as she’s dealing with her fair share of drama.
She’s pregnant, and thanks to her age, that stress is enough, but to add to her plate, she has no idea who her baby daddy is.
At this point, it could be either Isaiah Gannon (Swandi Wilson) or Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).
On top of that, Curtis, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) – and most of Port Charles – are unaware of her fling with Isaiah (although there are a few people who are in the loop).
There’s also Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting case lingering in her mind, although the good news is, thanks to last week’s discovery of Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) on the traffic camera footage, the heat has been taken off her and Curtis and is back on the congressman’s wife.
With that said, considering everything Brad knows about Portia and her falsifying Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) medical records back in the day, the threat of this being exposed will resurface now that Brad is back in town.
Portia got a bit of calamity in this regard since Drew’s shooting. While Trina and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) found the documents that proved Portia tampered with Heather’s records, they were able to destroy them.
Trina has yet to fess up to Curtis and Portia about this, but the two assumed Drew no longer had the evidence, as he was no longer dangling this in the wake of his shooting.
It’s been a hot minute since Drew forced Portia to do his dirty work, which is good news since she’s been busy with her baby mama drama.
Still, now with Brad back in town, this security can be thrown out the proverbial window.
Brad has likely returned because he’s found out his bestie, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), is alive, but what if he has another reason for his comeback?
The last fans saw Brad, Drew paid him off for the goods he had on Portia, and since his reunion with Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) flatlined, he took off to live his best rich life in parts unknown.
Could Brad have already spent all of Drew’s money? Has he returned to reunite with Britt, or because he has no more funds available and looking to score some cash?
Then again, with Drew’s shooter mystery lingering, will Brad become a part of this storyline?
After all, Selina Wu (Lydia Look) recently got hooked into the arc when the truth came out that Curtis initially solicited her to get rid of the congressman, only to withdraw the request.
In the land of soaps, a “who dun it” culprit is always the person fans least expect, and Brad has not been on anyone’s radar.
However, as Brad is Selina’s nephew, there’s always a chance she roped him into all this, and he’s the shooter.
Fans can’t help but feel as if Drew’s shooter mystery is on the cusp of being revealed, so Brad’s surprise return could also be linked to this.
General Hospital spoilers hint that Brad is bound to stir up plenty of drama and issue some threats toward Portia, even if only for entertainment value on his part, so GH viewers will have to tune in this week to find out more about the lab technician’s major comeback on the soap.
